Hadn't seen a dentist in a few years. I knew there might be some problems. Dr. Wali and her assistant Laura did a good job putting my mind at ease. Dr. Wali brings a good balance of competence and compassion. Very happy I made her my dentist.

Dr. Akashar did such an amazing job on my dad. My dad is older and really suffers from anxiety but Dr. Akshar was soooo patient with my dad. He was more than fair with cash prices since my dad has no insurance. Dr. Akshar has such a gentle hand and removed my dad’s tooth and my dad has not one complaint of pain! I am so grateful to have found Dentist Dr. Akshar! He asked to see my dad the next day as follow up to make sure all is well and everything turned out perfect! I couldn’t be happier with the treatment me and my dad received from all the staff and how patient Dr. Akshar was in explaining all the process step by step! I truly recommend!!

I have seen Dr. Akshar previously for dental cleanings and exams which have all been pleasant. Recently I went in for 4 extractions requested by my orthodontist. Dr. Akshar and his staff were very comforting. I went through the whole process with ease which was extremely surprising since my pain tolerance is extremely low. 2 big thumbs up!!!

Called ahead to make sure that they take my insurance. Receptionist told me they would take my insurance for cleaning. I asked her to check multiple times on the phone as I have changed my insurance since my last visit. She assured me that my insurance will cover the cleaning. Got to the office and first of all, she forgot that I was scheduled to come today. They anyway provided the cleaning service. Got my teeth cleaned and the receptionist told me it will be 65$. I tried to explain to her that I called ahead to make sure I can be covered, but she denies and tells me their office doesn’t take HMO. We started arguing and I decided I would just pay the $65 because this was just not worth it. If it was any other place, they would at least given this service for free or at a discount due to false information on their part. The doctor had also come in the conversation and tried to explain to me that I would have had to call insurance to be eligible to have my cost covered. Wow, why couldn’t they have told me all this before I scheduled my appt. Just by far one of the worst services I’ve had. Would’ve given 0 rating if I could!

I'm deathly afraid of dentist office. The Dr makes me feel so comfortable and at ease. I always want to do the gas, but he always talks me out of it and I'm so thankful. I never feel anything when I've had a tooth pulled. He is very informative and inspirational. If I could convince everyone to switch and go to him, I would! 100% RECOMMEND

I had a very disheartening experience because of the dental assistants not doing their job. I've issues with the same tooth for over 5 months now. I visited in August because I had a cracked filling that need to be worked on. Dr. Shah let me know I would need a root canal for the tooth to save it. My xrays would need to be sent to my dental insurance for approval of the procedure and it would take up to a month to get the approval. He said I would be contacted and we would set up a appt for the root canal to be done. 3 months go by, and I began feeling more discomfort and pain. I visited Dr. Shah again and I was informed that I did not have an appt for that day even though I had called two days prior to make one. Dr. Shah being the great dentist he is agreed to see my anyway even though one of his assistants failed to schedule the appt. Again he told me we would need to do the root canal and my xrays would be sent to my insurance and I would wait about a month to be contacted about scheduling the procedure. 2 more months have passed and I once again, I haven't heard nothing from the dental office regarding my root canal. I can only conclude that my xrays were once again, 'mistakenly' not sent to my insurance for approval. Just yesterday, the tooth cracked in half. It is now unsalvageable. My only option is to have the tooth extracted. If the dental assistants would have done their job correctly, I would not be losing my tooth. My advice to Dr. Shah is to hire new dental assistants who will In fact do their job and hold up the integrity of your business. EDIT: I visited Dr. Shah 2 weeks ago and he said the tooth can still be salvaged. And I scheduled for a root canal to be done today based on my approval (finally.) from my insurance. I went in to the Akshar Dental office on time at 11:30am but was not seen until 11:45. Dr. Shah then preceded to question me on the reason why for today’s visit..? Before even taking me back to the dental procedure area. He preferred to discuss my situation in front of other waiting patients. And when I finally was taken back to sit on a chair he then looked again at the tooth and informed me it would take too long to do the procedure today..? Why was a appt for my root canal placed when other other patients scheduled at the same time and now I’m told he doesn’t have time to do my procedure and that I would have to return Friday. I insisted that I be worked on today because I made time to have this procedure done and the tooth is bothersome. He then informed me I would be able to be worked on but I would have to return later today when he has more time. I let his assistants know that this all was a very frustrating situation and I will not returning. I will be moving on to a more professional dental office.
