Kirkland Family Dentistry: Dr. Jonathan Choi, DDS

I came into this office with no tooth pain at all, and after treatment by Dr. Choi, I am now experiencing pain in every single tooth they worked on. During one procedure, they made me get a second crown placed mid-procedure, which should have been a red flag. Shortly after, I had to go to a different dental office for an emergency root canal because of the pain caused after Dr. Choi worked on my teeth. This office relies heavily on dental assistants performing work that should only be done by a dentist. After my experience, I had my dental work reviewed by two separate dental offices, and both confirmed that the treatment done here was unnecessary, overly aggressive, and poorly executed. My teeth are now misaligned, and the work they touched needs to be corrected. I am now suffering and paying additional money to fix two crowns and five fillings that were done here — pain I did not have before coming in. This feels like a money-driven practice, not patient-focused care. They even charge extra for cleanings, which are typically free at most dental offices. This was a horrible experience, and I deeply regret coming here. I strongly recommend seeking a second opinion before allowing this office to work on your teeth.

I do not recommend this practice based on my recent experience. I just went in for a simple cleaning, but they found some work to be done after X-rays. I experienced persistent discomfort following a set of fillings that has not fully resolved for me, despite multiple follow-up visits. My main source of dissatisfaction was the follow-up care experience; I felt my concerns were met with frustration and what felt like dismissal rather than support. I am now seeking a second opinion elsewhere.

Dr. Choi took the time to explain my treatment options in detail, ensuring I understood everything and felt confident in my decisions. The procedure itself was smooth, and the office was so clean! What I appreciate most is the genuine care and attention to detail they provide. It’s clear that Dr. Choi genuinely cares about their patients’ health and comfort. I’ve always hated dentists and never had such a positive dental experience, but this experience truly made me think otherwise. I truly felt that Dr. Choi was a dentist who combines expertise with a warm, professional approach. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Dr. Choi for a cavity, and the experience was great. Dr. Choi was professional and kind. He explained the process slowly so I could understand, especially because I was afraid... I was impressed by how quick and painless it was! I'm so grateful for him because of all of this. My tooth feels great, and I'm pleased with the results. I had an excellent experience getting fillings at this dental office. Dr. Choi was nice, and he made sure to answer all my questions so I felt comfortable and at ease. The procedure was quick and I appreciated how gently Dr. Choi worked. AND the results look fantastic! I’m really happy with the outcome and will definitely be returning in the future!

I’ve been to this dental office twice for cavity work with Dr. Choi. During both visits, I was told to raise my left hand if I needed a break. However, when I did so, Dr. Choi continued drilling, which made me feel quite anxious. On one occasion, he accidentally cut my lip with a tool and didn’t apologize, which added to my discomfort. I felt tense and uneasy throughout the procedures. On a more positive note, every other staff member I’ve interacted with has been incredibly kind and welcoming. Recently, I had my teeth cleaned by Michelle, and she made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. She was efficient and showed genuine concern for my health, particularly regarding my teeth grinding, which has worsened. She educated me on the tools I need to use to help prevent further grinding, and I really appreciate her care and attention to my well-being. Overall, while my experience with Dr. Choi was unsettling, I am grateful for the caring and professional staff who have shown genuine concern for my health.
