Produce is usually good, wide variety of foods available in store. Store is clean. Has cashiers and self scan areas. Really expensive products in comparison to other local grocery stores. I really only visit to use the pharmacy - which is great. Very helpful staff.

I moved to the area a few months ago and was excited to find another Safeway in my new neighborhood. Unfortunately, I’m left truly missing the incredible Safeway that I had up in the Mill Creek area off of 132nd, because this Safeway is terrible! The caveat to this is the people I’ve met in the checkout lines and the customer service area - they’ve always been pleasant and helpful. It’s for the people there and the pharmacy folks who are salvaging this review from being one star. Read on to hear about some of my adventures. If you don’t read it all, the major takeaways are to check your sell by dates and do NOT go into the bathroom. McDonald’s is across the parking lot - just go there instead. My first time at this Safeway was back in late March. It was on a Monday, so I decided I should grab some chicken strips on "cheep" chicken Monday for dinner. It was 6:52pm when I approached the deli counter and saw there weren’t any chicken strips out. I asked the man behind the counter how long it would be before more chicken tenders were put out. He told me they were already done and they wouldn’t be cooking anymore. Mind you, the deli didn’t close for over an hour, and it’s the special of the day. The bone-in chicken in the display case looked like it was overcooked and had been in the case too long, as well. On a visit last month, I bought the ready-made enchiladas, which we decided to have for dinner just after I got home. Upon opening the package that had a sell by date of the next day, my olfactory sense was immediately offended by a spoiled food smell. Since the store is just 5-6 minutes away from me, I decided to go back up to exchange it for a new product. The woman at customer service was kind and helpful and offered me not only a refund, but a free prepared meal. This is where it got dicey. I went back to change the enchiladas and ended up finding another one within date and 2 packages that were already outside of their sell-by dates. I take the "good" package over to exchange, as well as the out of date packages that are on display. I decided to open and smell while at the store - once again, smells spoiled. She apologized profusely and asked if I’d like to exchange for any other meal, so I go over and start looking through all the ready-made meals and find at least 5 more that are past their expiration dates. And these are items that are front and center when you come into the store! It didn’t leave me with a lot of confidence about food quality control. More recently, I was in picking up a few things (now, trying to do my grocery shopping at other stores in the area and only picking up last minute items here), and I saw moldy rolls on the shelf and a bottle of heavy cream that had no seal on it. I tried stopping by customer service to let them know about the issues, but no one was there. As if all of these things aren’t bad enough, the most offensive part of the store is the disgusting bathroom. I went in one day to wash my hands, and was met by the most disgusting smell - like I’ve been in terrible port-a-potties that smelled better than the overwhelming stench that was this bathroom. So then, I tried the second bathroom - not quite as severe a stench, but still one of the worst public bathrooms I’ve ever set foot inside of. There was urine on the floor in both, and I definitely felt like I needed to shower after being in there for less than a minute. They need a decontamination team to come in and bleach those bathrooms from top to bottom and then do it again! Updating 11/10: expiration date issues seem to have improved, but the hot food deli here is still terrible. Yet another "cheep chicken Monday" where they don’t have chicken strips available at a little after 6pm. Overall, you’d do much better to just avoid shopping at this store as much as possible. Truly hope things will improve here, as I’ve been a loyal Safeway customer for many, many years at another location and am even a FreshPass member, but don’t think I’ll be renewing, since I can’t even do most of my shopping here.

Very high prices. Despite all their gimmicks, and all their supposedly low prices they advertise in their flyer. Be prepared to shell out so much , for just a few items. Customers have to go through so many hoops to get the advertised, or sale prices,or the special prices. Or apply digital coupons. It is not something simple. Not user-friendly either in the app, or for digital coupons . They intentionally make it not so easy to use coupons, or sale items, or digital coupons, so Customers give up trying, and just get forced to pay full price. Customer service is at the minimum level, or non-existent. This opinion is from several visits, over a very long period. So it is not one time experience. Clean place. Fresh groceries. Very good quality items. Convenient location

Had to return a couple items that did not work out. I asked the cashier for a stapler or tape to keep my receipts in order and she didn't have any, but one of the workers coming up from behind and hearing said "oh you need a stapler?" and he went back to customer service and brought it and stapled my papers together. His name was Eric and I appreciate him going the extra mile and helping me👍🙂

Safeway has become wildly overpriced, even by local standards. It is routine to see basic items like the cheapest bag of coffee priced at $17 or more, with no meaningful justification in quality or service. Staffing is consistently inadequate. There is rarely more than one checkout attendant working at any given time, leading to unnecessary lines and a reliance on self-checkout. There are also virtually no floor employees available to help customers locate items or answer questions. The parking lot only adds to the frustration. It is rigid, uneven, and poorly maintained, making both driving and walking through it unpleasant. At these prices, customers should expect premium service and a well-maintained property. What Safeway currently offers is neither.

The customer restrooms are probably some of if not the most disgusting restrooms I've ever used. And I drive around all day for work so I typically stop at grocery stores to get lunch and use the restroom. The smell is basically the smell of filth. Like what a hoarder's house smells like. I'm not sure if they use a blue light in the bathroom to hide the fact that it's so disgusting but if you shine your flashlight on your phone around you will be absolutely horrified and disgusted. There is no way anybody ever cleans these and if they do they need to be fired. Absolutely sick. 12/20/25 update: Restrooms have still not been cleaned and absolutely reek of urine and this time I've included pictures. Enjoy.

I purchased the Shrimp Cooked 51–60 Count Tail On (Previously Frozen) from this Safeway yesterday, planning to cook it for my child. Unfortunately, the shrimp had a strong spoiled smell as soon as I opened the package. I never thought I can bought a rotten product in Safeway. What made the experience worse is that their online customer service does not handle refunds for in-store purchases. Unlike Fred Meyer, which can process issues more conveniently, Safeway requires customers to drive back to the store just to request a refund. Very inconvenient and disappointing. I hope the store improves its product quality control and offers a more customer-friendly solution for food safety issues.
