i a procedure scheduled for the beginning of January and got strep throat so I rescheduled. then I enedd up getting influenza A and had to rescheduled again. ( i was super sick with a fever and everything) had another appointment and the office canceled it without informing me. I called multiple times last week trying to reschedule and they are just ignoring me. telling me someone will call me back. but no has. I am losing my insurance in the next month and now I probably wont be able to get my teeth fix. cause I got sick. they tell you not to come in if you're sick but then they punish you and refuse to rescheduled. I been waiting years to find a office that takes my insurance and have this procedure done and already upset that I gotten sick. so if you are sick just keep your appointment cause they won't let you rescheduled later.
To say I was just "satisfied" is an understatement. Dr. Vargus and his assistant do a spectacular job! He explains to me exactly what he is doing, his plan forward, gives me all the options and make sure I understand. His assistant is very friendly and helpful as well. Oh, and I got a call this morning asking if I have any questions about what to expect at my next appointment. Now that’s what I call. GREAT customer service!
No one I know enjoys going to the dentist! But at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, they are the best! Made me feel very comfortable even though I was extremely anxious and made me visit go smoothly. Wasn't pain free but since I was getting a tooth extracted, I didn't expect it to be fun! The 3rd year students are outstanding and know exactly what they are doing! Thanks ladies for making this person less afraid! See you again as necessary!
First, I’d like you to know that I simply get extremely anxious going to the Dentist for any reason but this was an emergency situation! However, I have had the best experience ever first with Braden. Who is charming and thoughtful about every aspect he touched. I appreciated how he conversation and laughed with me on my first visit. Dr Ferris did the heavy lifting by removing a huge mass and several dislocated teeth(pic1). He made sure I was numb enough to not be in any discomfort as he extracted and cauterized the mass. Explained each and every part of my procedure. I felt blessed to have his gentle, capable hands in my mouth. He asked if I was doing ok and played a nice selection of music. I seriously was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep. Emily, was so great at making sure the blood was suctioned well. She was the best Dental Assistant I’ve ever experience. I felt so great after this major procedure that I decided to drive back to Marshalltown instead of staying in a hotel room that night. I can’t give this team of people a higher recommendation than this!!!! Ty Dr Ferris for all you did to help my mouth to be healthy again(pic2). I’m excited to see what you recommend for dental replacements this week. Merry Christmas Everybody! 🎄⛪️🎅🏻✝️
No free parking, and when I asked, I was originally told that I could get parking validated, then told no. How is it that a place meant to help low-income families wants to charge for parking or tell people to wait until after 5 p.m. and possibly get out? When confronted, the person on the phone said they would never consider free parking or anything to help low-income families. If they are charging you to see a dentist and get work done, then they don't need paid parking. Great students, but a terrible place otherwise.
Dr. Marshall (orthodontics) and his team are always so nice and very professional. There has never been a time in the past year that me and my children have ever had a bad experience. I highly recommend them.
My wife and i have been using the U of I Dental Clinics for decades and have always received excellent care at reasonable prices. It's great knowing the practitioners who work on us always have excellent training and access to expert oversight and support.
