DO NOT COME TO THIS OFFICE! They take as many emergencies as possible to get paid for it & they could careless about your dental health they just want to guarantee pay from insurance. They take advantage of OHP customers & they know it. I went to 3 different Orthodontist for my daughter just for evaluations, they all said the functionality of her teeth are a problem & are going to cause problems to her teeth in the future. So I was trying to go through the insurance process & had to go through VGD (which we haven’t been to in months because their lack of care for all of my children. I will never go back & I will be contacting whoever I need to, to get these concerns addressed. If you are looking for dental services in network with your insurance, the Beaverton office is much better & they’ll actually treat you with respect!
I called last week to make some appointments for my children and the receptionist after seeing our health plan just said "oh with this plan we don't like to work because it's a lot of work" well, I think it's because of work that they are there, right? or is it community work that they do, well as she said it was a lot of work she said she would call me back that afternoon and so far they haven't done it. I don't think that because we are under the state health program we deserve to be looked at with faces and treated like that, I have no complaints about the assistants or doctors, on the contrary, I have met very kind people but the receptionists are something else.
My one appointment consisted of haphazard X-rays and quickly booting me out the door without addressing my concerns, nor scheduling me for a follow-up visit. They hardly answer the phone, but when they do, their books aren’t open for appointments. I’ve had some negative dental experiences before, and now I can add the utter dismissal from Virginia Garcia Dental Clinic to the list of them.
I scheduled my 6 year old daughter for a routine cleaning/check-up appointment. When the assistant came out, she told my child that she can go by herself because she’s over 5 years old now. I told her that she’s not going to go by herself and asked if I was able to go with her. She proceeded to point at a paper on the wall and said something along the lines of, "If they’re over the age of 5 they have to go by themselves. That’s why we have it posted everywhere and tell you every time we call" very snarky like. Clearly no one told me that or else I wouldn’t have wasted my time going there in the first place to have my young child be taken back alone in a dental office with strangers. I don’t see how that is even legal? Anyways, I told her that no one told me that on the phone and she went back and talked to the doctor who said "we can see what we can do today" with me being present but that she needs to get comfortable with going back by herself in the future. Needless to say, I took my daughter and left. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Especially if your child is 5yrs old and older. The assistant was rude. The receptionist was pleasant but kept referring to my daughter as a "he" (due to her name being gender neutral, she was sitting down behind me so she never saw her), even after I told her that she was a girl. Felt super impersonal and rushed. The office could also use a whole remodel. It is outdated and not welcoming.
Fantastic! Very friendly! Dental assistant and dentist were both so animated and engaging, they got past my daughter's dental phobia. Thanks!
Review for Riley Plank.. Always have a great, smooth experience here. I am pregnant and he was very comforting to inform me of everything he was doing. I felt very welcome here and am happy to have found such a wonderful Hygienist. My teeth are already doing so much better thanks to the tips & help from Riley. The staff and Riley are friendly, respectful, caring and courteous of your time.
I would rather pay out of pocket than ever receive the kind of rough rude treatment I received here. I was in pain and the hygienist and the assistant laughed at me. Unempathetic and missed a ton of problems with my teeth. Don’t bother. I don’t often say doctors are incompetent. But it’s certainly applicable here. Edit for their response: "We’re so sorry" Your office is "so sorry" despite this clearly being an ongoing issue going back a couple YEARS in the reviews that they’ve did nothing about. Nothing personal, as I recognize you’re probably just the person that runs the Google page. But I’m sure you know where I’m going to tell you to stick that apology. 🙃
