Gentle Dental Hillsboro

Had orthodontics done at this location 14yrs ago and it was great. Went back today and the staff was just as kind and helpful! Especially Leslie, so considerate! But unfortunately there was a real "used car dealership" vibe going on. Constantly trying to upsell. Really not a good feeling from a franchise like this. I'll be looking for a more professional experience elsewhere.

My son has currently been broadcasted on the news for having infantile botulism. I come to this location because I wanted to feel safe during my experience the dental hygienist that I had kind of got a little too comfortable with me when I go into places of business it’s nice to have people be relatable, but then there is a thin line with that safe space the dental hygienist is a Caucasian grandmother usually wears all black to work and has a star tattoo and an initial tattoo either on her face or neck or forearm AnyWho, she was funny at first we shared laughs, but it seemed like each visit I had after that there was always something about race We spoke about children and younger children being at that age where they’re bratty she then said oh does your kids stink? Due to being at that preteen age, the second time I do not recall, but this last time I’ve been there it seemed like she had brought up watching videos of "" Karen’s being slapped by Black people because the Karen had said the N-word uncomfortably. I laughed it off and explain that those are unfortunate situations. She then said something about white people saying boy to black men and how because I am black I can say that I shrugged it off and did not know how to speak to her about it, but I’m uncomfortable enough to where I feel like. I need to write a review about this place. It seems as though they are a little too comfortable when it comes to personal conversations in the workspace, I will not be going back to this location because the conversations that I had make me very uncomfortable as a black woman just trying to get her teeth fixed. I do not condone any person devaluing anybody’s race. I do not like it when a white woman says because I am black. I can say the N-word I may be a black woman, but I was not raised or believe that I get to say derogatory words to anyone and when she said that it kind of made me feel like wow this is what you think of me or is this what you expect of me or is this your own projection? Are you saying that if you were black, you would say that word because I do not and I would never teach my black son to say or accept those type of words being said now I’m sure she just meant things in a laughing manner, but there are way better and funnier conversations to have with clients.

this isn't the usual gentle dental we go to due to distance and location limitations on our past insurance. But with the new insurance, we are now free to go to Dr. Jessica at any gentle dental location. Dr. Jessica is a very calm and accommodating doctor, and I'm glad she takes the new insurance we have. Amber was so awesome in scheduling a last minute appointment due to my son's sudden toothache and trying to resolve my insurance issues. (she took my information and called me back when there was a cancelation and scheduled us in) Although the insurance issue couldn't be resolved before the appointment, she did what she can to try to get the information updated, which was greatly appreciated.

Staff was courteous and prompt. I was able to get x-rays taken immediately and the doctor saw me right after. I had to schedule another visit for cleaning which was disappointing but everything was explained and they did their best to make me feel comfortable. I will be back.

The whole team at gentle Dental were amazing so kind and very gentle and I’m a big baby so that’s saying a lot. Dr. Farham was amazing kind and very generous. Thank you for all your help.

Great customer service, the front desk people are always there to help with your questions. Just give them a call and ask if they take your insurance and they will help you from there. Most of the time they're mostly booked So you might not get an appointment right away. But if it's an emergency they might be able to squeeze you in.

I’ve been going there for a few years now and am very happy with my experience. Everyone I’ve interacted with and observed has always been friendly, professional and efficient, communication is timely and clear as well, great crew altogether!
