10/20/25 in office Xray’s and exam performed as scheduled. Afterwards at the front desk I was presented an estimate for services that needed to be performed, a deep cleaning estimate for $661.40. I declined $400.00worth of services as I could not afford them. Kathy drew a line through the declined line items and wrote the new estimate balance of $261.40 on the estimate towards the bottom of the page. 10/27/25 in office After my teeth cleaning, Kathy charged my debit card $661.40; it was supposed to be $261.40. Kathy agreed to the mistake she made and said they will create a credit to my debit card and she will call me when it's complete but it might take 10-15 days. (This took place at 11:05am and Kathy seemed to be in a hurry to leave. Kathy also wrote down my debit card information on a Post It and then left in on the back desk at the front counter. At 11:51am I emailed their office in regards to my debit card number being written down on a Post It and to discuss getting my refund sooner than 10-15 days). 11/05/25 @ 9:42am Kathy called and said she spoke to the hygienist and she offered me a refund of $260.00, I declined and said I would expect a $400.00 refund as I declined these services on the initial estimate. Kathy said she would call me back. 11/06/25 @4:00pm I called, Madeline answered. I asked for the name of the office manager to discuss my billing issue. I was told her name is Janessa. I asked to speak to Janessa, I was told she would need to call me back and her hours are Monday thru Friday 10am to 3pm. 11/07/25 @ 10:26am I called to talk to Kathy at the front desk and ask about my refund. At 10:42am Kathy answered (on hold for16 minutes). She said the full amount of the credit $400.00 was issued11/05/25. 11/21/25 I finally received the $400.00 credit 25 days after I was overcharged.

This Bright Now Dental has horrible billing practices. Its been about 8 months and they have not billed my insurance. I am now getting calls from their business office requesting the $800. They will also try to upcharge you additional services, they got me for another $300 that I had to pay out of pocket. I have spoke to one specific woman on the phone as well as in person and she talks in circles about why insurance hasn't been billed. Unfortunately this place is the only dentist in network with my insurance or else I would left a long time ago. I have left messages to speak with a manager and have not heard anything. Be careful dealing with the front office staff of this clinic, I am not sure they know what their doing. You reply to my review but I already have left messages and asked for clarification and did not get any response from the office. I dont have any faith I will get a call back and it would probably be from the same lady that is rude and talks in circles.

Too long to wait for tooth extraction. 3weeks & I have to run around with a big hole in the front of my mouth. I find this unexceptable. Not too happy ! Also they quote prices that are not accurate. When I left the office from a previous appointment I was told I owed nothing. Then I get a bill saying I owed $35o that was not covered by insurance. Also they schedule multiple people at the same time so you sit in that chair forever getting nervous. I have just walked out before. Not waiting!

Dr Lin was able to see me right away. He was thorough, kind, and clear. He referred me to an endodontist for the treatment I need and gave me medication to treat the infection.

I needed an emergency appointment. I was able to get in the same day. The dr. was very friendly and gentle. He got me on a plan right away. The place is very clean as well.

Worst dental.clinic I have been to in all my life including in Gresham, Oregon City, Estacada. And I stimulate never got my crown cemented back on. With emx-ray on the wall he said my tooth shifted and now there is a cavity under it. I don't trust these people! This is my honest opinion!

They will definitely upcharge you for any services you need. I was quoted $600 as a co-pay (I have good insurance and this place is in network) for a cleaning here and when I went to a small business for a second opinion the co-pay at the second dentist was $21. There's other reviews saying they had the same ridiculous kind of price quoted. Do not assume they're being honest with you about costs, if they ask you for hundreds of dollars get another opinion. In fact, just don't go to Bright Now. I scheduled my first exam with Bright Now with time for a cleaning, I specifically asked for that 3 times, but when I got there I was told that wasn't on the schedule. They racked up a huge estimate for what I needed done, would not explain it, would not work with me on costs or planning the work, and would not send estimates to my insurance, so I had to do that myself. They sent me out the door with no help and wasted my benefits and time. The front desk staff is nice, Dr Lin was nice, but overall it's not a place you should go if cost is a concern or if you want a regular dentist that cares about your health. The staff seem like decent people but you can tell the company makes it hard for them to help anyone because the business model is making as much money as possible from patients instead of providing care. Bright Now doesn't care about their patients, it's a corporate dentist. Find a small business in Gresham, there's tons.
