Exceptional service, wait time, Easy to drive to and great parking. Very very impressed. Haven’t had this thorough review of my dental situation ever in my life. I appreciate that this place exists and that my hygienist and dentist are as compassionate and professional as they are.

Rachel Oates Family Dental is truly the best dentist office there is! The front desk staff is always smiling to greet you. My hygienist, Terri, is super sweet and takes the time to explain what she’s doing. The doctors are all great, but Rachel is just an amazing dentist who is not interested in making as much money as she can, but truly cares about her patients. I can’t say enough good things about this practice.

Best dentistry ever! I’ve known Rachel since I was in elementary school at a different dentistry. When she left to start her own we all followed her here because she’s just the best! I will never forget in middle school I wanted to be a dentist just like her, and they let me shadow the dentists office for a day! Couldn’t recommend enough! Everyone is just happy to be there and take care of you!

I chose 2 stars instead of 1 because the receptionist, as well as my hygienist had no bearing on this review and were quite pleasant. I had my 6 months cleaning and check up today. I arrived about 5 minutes before my 11a appt and was greeted by the front desk and was told, she would check me in. Within just a few minutes my hygienist called for me and we were off. X-rays, cleaning, flossing, etc. Upon completion of my cleaning session (as per usual) I was told the doctor would be in to check on me shortly. After approximately 10 minutes later, my hygienist said the doctor was finishing up and would be in. After waiting 20 more minutes, I decided I would leave, as no problems were found and my time is valuable. Upon getting my coat and purse, my hygienist, Dr. Oates, and a gentleman walked in to the doorway. As I was getting my things, I said "Y'all this is excessive". Dr. Oates facial expression changed as if I had sworn at her. I said, I'm not being rude, but waiting for this long, 30 minutes after my cleaning was excessive. She said "my tone" was rude and I was free to leave. Note. this was after I've waited over 30 minutes at this point. Dr. Oates, how do you possibly know "my tone" if we've never had a conversation before? Furthermore, communication goes a long way. Perhaps going forward you, let your patients know that you will be longer than expected or that if they need to leave before seeing you it's ok as you were behind on follow-ups or whatever the problem was. Finally, Dr. Oates said she apologized as she approached the doorway, she possibly did as I said, I was grabbing my belongings and upon raising my head and seeing them in the doorway, I then made the comment "Y'all that was excessive." Regardless, saying to a patient, who spoke the truth and never raised their voice, that their tone was rude, is rude by you!

The worst dentist I have ever been to. I don’t even know where to start. I had lots of issues with the process of getting my cavities filled and the numbing. But the main issue is their lack of care and urgency. When I went in for my second appointment, I asked the dentist who greeted me to relay information to the person who would be performing my operation. That was not done. In fact, they had not even looked at my patient records to see that I was there the day before. My jaw was so sore from getting cavities filled that I could not open my mouth more than an inch. I was prescribed steroids, but still experienced this discomfort for a week. I called the office to see if this was normal and they did not answer. Just texted me to tell me that they cancelled my next appointment and to take advil. They never answer their phone! And although their voicemail may say that they will call you back, they won’t! They will send you a text and then never follow up. It has been a month and a half and I still have extreme pain in my mouth from the operation, but they do not answer me. They also overcharged (by a lot) and have yet to send the check that they promised. I truly have no idea how this is a successful business. I could not recommend any less. It is poorly run and I have never had such a bad experience at any health care provider. Stay far far away.

I just left Dr.Oates with my daughter who has Down syndrome. I can’t even begin to explain how amazing Dr.Oates was with her. She was patient, kind, professional and knew all the tips and tricks to successfully do a filling on her. She is a phenomenal dentist, compassionate and so good at what she does, so thankful for this experience. Mama’s, she’s wonderful.

Very unprofessional place. They were approved on my provider list but then the next time I came they were not. Nobody from the office informed me. I got charged full price for an annual cleaning. You think they would have given me the same rate since they were the ones who failed to do their job.
