The dental office is an absolute sham. I have been getting regular cleanings my entire adult life. When I switched to EDC, I did xrays and was told I needed over $2000 of dental work (all not covered by insurance coincidentally.) The front desk woman is rude, pushy and berates you that you wouldn't pay on the spot. I grew skeptical and went to a dentist on Encinitas Blvd who told me I have no work needed. Apparently, they have had a few patients with the same experience. I spoke to a mom at my kid's school who works in marketing and said they pay for the 5 star reviews which makes sense. Save yourself the money and pain and find an honest dentist that cares about integrity and patient health.

Several years ago I found my self in sudden debilitating pain due to a hidden cavity that grew into a nerve under decades old childhood dental work. I began calling around my local area for a dentist that could treat me immediately. This is the only dental crew that responded. I’d be grateful even if that was the end of the story but, through the years, they have never failed to help me in every way they could. They consistently perform excellent dental work while managing insurance policy details that always explore the best options available for my particular situation. If you are unsure about finding a dental crew with a great attitude that is kind, thoughtful and highly skilled, look no further. You have found the best.

From the moment I walked into my new dentist's office, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming receptionist who made the check-in process a breeze. I was particularly grateful that they did their best to squeeze me in as a last-minute urgent care patient, and I was impressed by how quickly they got me in for my appointment. The staff was thorough in explaining what my teeth needed, and they took the time to ensure that all my insurance information was accurate, clearly outlining what my co-pay would be. Both the dentist and the dental assistant were incredibly pleasant, making me feel at ease throughout the entire process. They were soft-spoken and gentle with all the tools they used, especially when taking impressions for my new cap and crown. I was amazed at how quick the crown-making process has become; there was no more of the traditional "tap tap" to sand down my teeth. Instead, it was simply a matter of placing the crown in my mouth, where it fit perfectly. Overall, this was the most gentle and efficient dental experience I’ve ever had. The professionalism and kindness of the doctors made the visit not only quick but also very pleasant. I left the office feeling relieved and satisfied with the care I received.

I love Encinitas Dental Center. I would recommend them to anybody and everybody. The staff is top notch. I recently had crown work done and must say it was a very pleasant experience. They explained everything that they were doing and made it less stressful. Very gentle and very caring. I’m so happy to have found them.

Everyone here has been wonderful since day one! I’ve required a lot of dental work and everybody has been so kind and understanding and reassuring. Dr. Neville is an amazing dentist and does great crowns and has great stories. Being a person that greatly dislikes going to the dentist, my experience has been so much better than I anticipated. I wanted to find a new primary dentist in the area since I moved here. I only wanted a routine cleaning. They seemed very pushy on treatment of care insisted of another round of X-rays even though I had them earlier this year at another dentist. The quickest cleaning I’ve ever received. The cleaning was maybe 5-10 mins. They didn’t scale my teeth, just used a quick tool to get the job done. Questioned the quality of care I received. Let alone I was the only patient in the office which was a little concerning. Now I know why some people don’t like dentists. I’ve received great care at other offices and this was not so great. Definitely have room for improvement.
