Ninth Street Dental

Amazing dentist that I recommend to ALL my friends! the hygienist and Dr.Mashhoon are super friendly, explain things very nicely, and only recommend treatment if necessary! (won't try to sell you on things!). I have a very mild amount of dental anxiety from a root canal and they always make me feel at ease!

I was nervous going to the dentist after not having dental care for many years. However, the staff was so warm and accommodating. There was no judgment placed on me for the situation I was in and they really just cared about making sure I was comfortable and got the best care. It’s been 4 years since then and I’ve been coming to Ninth Street Dental ever since. Dr. Mashhoon is so kind and does a wonderful job at keeping me informed on best dental care practices.

Top notch service. All of my dental issues were addressed. Dentist and staff willing to listen and are patient. Very accommodating especially if time is a concern.

Absolutely the best! Had a difficult upper back tooth with decay needing a crown and the attention to detail and the care the doctor and the dental assistant provide are the best. I felt so comfortable! Highly recommend!

On top of putting my dental health aside for years, this is the first dentist I've visited after leaving my family dentist of 20+ years , so I was nervous. The staff and doctors were extremely warm, friendly, and welcoming. They were very thorough in their cleaning and examinations, and took their time to explain things to me so I knew what to expect. I'm really happy with the quality and care of 9th Street Dental.

Sean is my dental hygienist. He is the best I have had since moving from Georgia. He explains everything, is patient, gentle and makes sure I was comfortable the whole time. This is my second time having Sean and I hope he never leaves. The dentist was good also but I miss seeing Dr Mushoon today.

I'm moving across the country next month and one of the things I will miss the most in Durham is Ninth Street Dental. Sean is the best hygienist I've ever had. He explains everything to me as he's working and gives amazing tips for keeping up with my hygiene between visits. I have not had a cavity since I've started at Ninth Street and that is in large part from their education each visit; come to find out I had been flossing wrong for most of my twenties! Dr Mashhoon is of course amazing, very thorough and always staying to catch up after my cleanings. As someone who has had extensive dental work throughout my childhood, including cosmetic work, this is one of the best dentists I've ever gone to. I cannot recommend this place enough. They foster an environment of relaxation and empowerment. If you care about your teeth, go to the NSD!
