A BIG thank you to Dr. Derick for getting me right last minute. I had pain on a tooth that was done somewhere else and when I seen the great reviews on this place, I made a quick call for them to see me. I went in on 12/27 and from the moment I walked in, the hospitality was amazing. Jessica was in the front greeting you with her positive energy and kindness. Dr. Derick was able to squeeze me in last minute to fix the tooth that was hurting. I appreciate the quality and care that you gave me. Love the 80s music that was playing while working on my tooth. It was late in the day and it was so much good vibes. I owe you one Doc. I definitely recommend this place. The staff from the front to the back were very friendly and helpful with great service.

Dr. Derick and his team are just beyond amazing. My family and I have come here since they opened the practice many years ago. When you walk in you feel at home. All the staff is professional and experts in their field. From regular cleanings to emergency appointments, they handle it all with ease and use the most current technology for their patients. They go above and beyond to help you with dental needs and provide a very exceptional service. Thank you !

I love this office! I was never a fan of dental work and now I love coming here. I feel that they all genuinely care and take care of all my dental needs. My appointment time is always respected and I never feel rushed out. The doctor is amazing! I truly appreciate him calling me over the weekend to check how I was feeling when my wisdom teeth were pulled out. The hygienist is great! Everyone there will make you feel like family. I am so grateful to Dr. Derick Nguy and his staff. I had a dental emergency while I was about 7 months pregnant and called multiple offices to ask about not just availability but also experience in handling such urgent situations. Dr. Nguy not only was able to treat me but by the time i arrived, I learned that his office had already been in contact with my OBGYN to ensure that the treatment was the safe and recommended treatment for myself and baby, and that my OBGYN and Dr. Nguy were on the same page with respect to treatment. As a worried and expectant mama, I felt so relieved knowing that all precautions were taken and that I'd no longer be in pain and at risk for the issue getting worse. Since then, I've seen Dr. Nguy several times and the things that stand out are his high standards with respect to patient care and really listening to my concerns. For example, i needed a crown on one of my last visits and he repeatedly made micro-adjustments to ensure it was a perfect fit and that i was happy with it. Dr. Nguy's staff, including his office manager Jessica, his hygienists and assistants have all been professional, friendly and clear about next steps and scheduling my next appointments. I've seen other dentists that didn't have the same high standards and so I really appreciate the care I've been provided at Downey Family Dental and have recommended Dr. Nguy's office to my friends and family.

I have been going to Dr Derick for over 10 years. He's very thorough and genuinely cares for his patients. He makes sure you understand what procedure he is performing and that you have an awesome experience. The staff is friendly and professional. The office is clean and welcoming. An excellent experience. All of the staff are super friendly. The dental work is second to none. State of the art equipment made the crown process so much faster, precise and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Derick, he’s a very talented dentist and as honest as they come!
