Downey Dentist: Christian Yang, DDS

This was a relatively painless experience. I needed an upper molar to be crowned after I began experiencing discomfort when chewing. In one appointment the old filling was removed, a temporary crown was placed. Then a couple of weeks later they installed my new crown. Feels good as new. All praise. No complaints.

Been coming here for years. Staff is super friendly. Dr. Yang is so patient, thorough, and calming. He's good with my elderly father, my teen son, and myself. Ive always been tense and scared of dentist but Dr.Yang has such a soft hand that I don't feel a thing. Will keep coming here for many more years!

Dr. Yang has been our dentist for many years. Dr. Yang and his staff are always kind, helpful and professional.

I went to visit Dr Yang for an initial visit in march of this year. I’m going to temper what I post, but basically I do not trust him. Below are the facts of what went down. Feel free to make your own conclusions. 1. The receptionist was great and very nice. She is the only reason this place isn't getting a one star review. 2. My former dentist was someone in Santa Monica that I have been going to for over ten years. I decided to finally find someone local. 3. Dr Yang told me I had periodontal disease and needed a deep cleaning. This shocked me because I never had any swelling or bleeding of the gums. And my previous dentist always complemented me on the health of my teeth and gums. 3. I told Dr. Yang I wanted to wait a bit, but he really applied the pressure and asked me why I didn't want to do it. He basically implied my previous dentist was incompetent. The high pressure sales tactic was really annoying and also a bit surprising. I've never encountered a dentist who pressured me like this. 4. Dr Yang also asked if I would consider getting braces. Another question that shocked me because I do not have crooked teeth nor do I have an overbite. Also, I'm over 50 years old. Why on earth would I want braces at this point in my life? 5. Even though I was very skeptical, I went ahead and scheduled the cleaning. Fast forward a few weeks and I have now moved to Redondo Beach. So I cancelled my appointment with Dr yang and found a local dentist in the South Bay. I went for a visit today and the dentist told me I had amazingly healthy gums and teeth. She even check the depth of my pockets and they were all 2 and 3. Dr.Yang on the other hand, somehow found my pockets to be 7 and 6 in some areas. WTH??? I can't help but think that Dr Yang was fraudulently trying to induce me to sign up for treatments the I didn't need. Just the thought of him trying to get me to do a root planing on my healthy gums really pisses me off. So please beware if you are visiting Dr Yang for the first time and he tries forcefully pressure you into doing certain procedures.

If you’re looking for a dentist you can trust, on time and somebody you can recommend to your family and friends, look no further. The staff is also very caring and friendly. Dr. Yang has taken good care of me over the years.

I received excellent service, highly recommend this office. My initial visit was positive The front desk receptionist was courteous, Dr. Yang provided a thorough and clear explanation of my treatment, demonstrating kindness and professionalism, and the entire staff was very helpful. I plan to return and express my sincere gratitude.

We have absolutely had a great experience with Dr. Yang. We came from an office that wrapped my then 4yr old in a straight jacket type blanket leaving him and us traumatized to now Dr. Yang just talking my sons through their procedures. He definitely has been able to gain their trust and they are never afraid to go into the dentist. We heard about Dr. Yang through a friend. She worked with him and spoke about her experience and how wonderful he was with his patients and we decided to give Dr. Yang a chance. I am so grateful to have found his practice. Dr. Yang always explains every procedure in great detail and answers all questions. I never feel rushed to just get in and out of that chair. This is something that I was not used to. I was used to Dentists just saying what I needed and just doing the procedures. Now, every time I visit I can tell Dr. Yang has revisited our charts and studied them. He then proceeds to explain what will be done, he’ll show you work that has been done in the past and point out progress and areas that need improvement. He genuinely cares about his patients and their dental health. His staff is also amazing everyone is always so welcoming. I appreciate Cherish always calling to remind us of our appointments and explaining all my billing questions she is the best! Thank you Dr. Yang to you and your team you guys are amazing!
