I’ve always felt really cared for here. From the front desk to the providers, everyone is helpful, patient, and attentive. Every procedure I’ve had done, they’ve checked in on my healing and made sure everything was going well instead of just rushing me out. They genuinely try to work with you and your needs, which made me feel comfortable and confident in my care.

My first appointment to schedule treatment went very well. The staff there is very kind and thorough. My last dentist messed a lot up but this office was very understanding and helpful with the process. I appreciate their kindness and consideration.

I’ve been a long time patient of Smiles West. My most recent visit has to be the best. Dr. Shen did an excellent job w/ my four crowns and two fillings. The office staff is also great (friendly and professional). Highly recommend them.

Came here fo an appointment, the dentist and the hygienist was great and so wa sthe person taking all the x-rays and pictures. Once the finance person came into the room it all went south, started feeling like I was in a high pressure sales environment, like a car dealership. I asked for a breakdown of out of pocket vs insurance coverage so I can make a decision on work for my next appointment at which point she said she was too busy to provide that and would take about a week. As soon as I informed that work would start at next appointment there was no interest in seeing me and more interest in asking me to leave. As of now there's been zero follow-up on price breakdown. Guess I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Caveat Emptor! After TWO years of orthodontic treatment and being released from treatment this is the result were you can see with your own eyes the permanent MOLAR that is still buried under the gum-line and laying on its side!! Another dentist discovered this as she went for a deep cleaning. Are you willing to risk your kids treatment at Smiles West of Covina?? Pedro Update: December 18, 2024 I have filed a Small claims action against this dentist and his company. Since they have NOT had the courtesy to reach out to me other than the lame response to my post. We shall see what they have to say to the judge. Who knows, maybe they think they can ignore the judge as well! I will keep you posted. Pedro

Staff very friendly and kind. However, big disappointment came when I had to wait I would guess at least 30-40 minutes for the dentist to see me after my cleaning because she was with another patient, I believe having to do some procedure. I get it. But if she couldn't break away for a few minutes to check me and complete my purpose for my visit (6 month cleaning), i think there should be another dentist available to attend to other patients who are waiting. I ended up being there for 1.5 hours for a mere cleaning. When I finally saw her, she was with me maybe 2 minutes--at the most. I don't think it was even that long. I respect her time for needing to do a bigger procedure, but where was the respect for my time needing to get to my other commitment?
