Customer Reviews
Aspen Dental - Conway, AR has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 758 reviews on Google
The staff, from the dental hygienist to the front desk have been friendly every time I walk in. But that's not the reason for a two star review. In fact, they're the reason I am giving a two two star review. I walked into Aspen about a year ago with a cavity and asked for second opinion. My dentist at the time had told me that I needed a root canal and a crown placed on the tooth. I went in and asked what they though it would take, and was told by Dr. Falkoff that he can knock this out with a filling, so I went with it fully trusting that he knew what he was doing and what he was looking at when he looked at my X-rays. Fast forward to last week, I walk in because the filling that he put in has cracked. Dr. Falkoff has retired, and another dentist informs me that I need a crown because there isn't enough structure of the tooth left to replace the broken filling. So, I took this knowledge to another dentist office and tell them what's going on and they tell me that yes, I need a dental crown AND a ROOT CANAL! Something that could have been taken care of a year ago but I was misdiagnosed and led astray because I TRUSTED that this office had my best interests in mind. Now I have to pay more (WHICH YOU SHOULD HELP ME COVER ASPEN DENTAL) to fix what should have been fixed a while back WHEN I FIRST WALKED INTO YOUR CLINIC. I already have trust issues with dentists, so this made things worse. After this experience I DO NOT feel like a patient here, I feel like someone they can just keep using to drain money out of and that my best interests were not kept up. No wonder people stared at me when I told them I was being seen at Aspen Dental...
BEWARE!!! This place will lie about being in-network and then surprise you with a bill 5x higher than you were quoted. They also drilled too deep in two of my teeth WITHOUT telling me, leaving one whole side of my mouth unable to chew due to extreme temperature sensitivity. Avoid this place at all costs. Customer care is also ghosting me as I try to get my teeth (which previously had no pain whatsoever before Aspen Dental hacked at them) fixed and my services billed properly. Hopefully this review will make someone finally make the effort to resolve the consequences of my hellish experience.
The dentist and assistant both repeatedly ignored what my appt was for. They worked on a tooth I did not ask them to work on, and ignored the teeth I was scheduled for entirely. Even after I repeatedly pointed out which teeth I was there to get fixed. The dentist later even admitted she worked on the wrong tooth. So I left the office with work I did not ask for, was not informed about, and without the teeth I desperately needed to get fixed, actually being taken care of at all. Would not recommend. They ignore patience and misread appointments entirely, and then try and get you scheduled for the original work through at least two more appointments. Absolutely not.
Excellent! I’ve Never had my teeth cleaned so thoroughly! The Dental Hygienist is top notch. The Dentist was great too along with all staff. I’m horrible at remembering names or I would put them. Thank You all for taking such great care of my daughter and myself. I’ll be sending my husband there next!! Very happy we picked this place 😁
I wish I could give zero stars. The website boasts emergency services, even walk-ins?! I have a tooth that lost a massive filling and the tooth is cracked and causing significant pain in that side of my face, jaw and head. I found the website and was very hopeful- I made an appointment for the following day. I got to my appointment, the hygienist that I spoke to, and even the office staff were very kind. After explaining my situation of the need for an urgent repair and then a plan to continue established care to the hygienist- she went and spoke to the doctor about it. Per the "doctor"(who NEVER even looked at the tooth- or even looked me in the eye for that matter) had the hygienist deliver a message…they will NOT be fixing anything today…maybe I can try Tylenol or Ibuprofen for the obviously exposed nerve pain I’m experiencing….?! Like, what?! By this time I am teary eyed and feeling defeated. Again, the hygienist was VERY kind and understanding- her name was Whitney- she apologized but she shouldn’t have even needed to feel compelled to apologize for a corporation’s misdeeds. Regardless, she seemed very empathetic and hated delivering that news. I could tell. Whitney should seek employment somewhere that has doctors that actually want to do what they went to school to do. Which is care for people. So in the end, what they wanted was for me to set up a cleaning schedule and a treatment plan and even sign a contract that I'm quite sure will involve weeks, months and thousands of dollars. They could probably get me in after the holidays to do the repair but i will not be trusting them with any care of mine. I wouldn’t allow them to cut my toenails at this point. I would rather be in misery with the tooth forever. Why would I establish a relationship with a business whose obvious lack of compassion is disgusting and whose only goal is trapping someone that is desperate in a scheme for long term monetary gain?! And there is no room within that goal for helping a person that is in pain. Just another "fast food chain" medical provider. They should definitely remove the "emergency" and "walk-in" claims on their websites. That is a blatant lie.
They allow you to choose your appointment time - and then cancel your appointment if you aren't there 15 minutes early to fill out 'insurance ' paperwork, even if you tell them you have no insurance. After rescheduling and going back again, I was informed they couldn't even discuss treatment options with out an exray. I refused the exray, they refused to discuss treatment options and I left. Total waste of time. Take your teeth somewhere else. Adding a response to the business reply: I believe what you are missing is the 'informed consent'. New patients don't come to you automatically knowing your procedures. My experience was that I was seated in an exam chair and a few minutes later told I should leave my personal belongings ( car keys, wallet and cell phone) unattended in the mostly open exam room of a busy clinic ...which btw is not happening...and follow your staff to a different location in the clinic. No explanation was given. I had not met the doctor nor had we discussed why I was there. When I asked where are you taking me? I was told exrays. I asked why? I was told all patients must have exrays. Of course I refused. I am not all patients. I am an individual. Informed consent is necessary but ignored by this provider.
