VIP Dental Lounge - Dentist Portage Park

I had a new patient exam/xrays/cleaning this week and couldn't be happier with the care I received! The office was very modern and there are individual patient rooms (I've been to other dentists where this isn't the case). The receptionist was super friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. The dental assistant, Alex, and Dr. Tavolzhanskaya were both very gentle and caring. The Doctor was extremely thorough, doing an exam for oral cancer before we got started and also checked my blood pressure. I very much appreciated her attention to detail when reviewing my medical history and making recommendations. The X-rays of my teeth were up on a giant screen that I could see, which was pretty cool. They even gave me a goody bag at the end.

Had to get a new dentist. Looked at reviews of a couple places and tried here. They’re SO GOOD! I only went in for a checkup but.. the office is cool, the care was great, and other things were amazing, too. While I was in the chair, they were able to contact my insurance and clear anything they thought might cost extra (it didn’t, btw). So easy for me, and now I’m done looking for a new dentist.

Great experience as a first time patient! I’ll be coming back for the long term! The staff was very thorough, had really cool technology that enabled them to explain what they are looking at and makes it easy to understand. Highly recommend!

This practice has gone downhill recently, especially in terms of courtesy to patients. Before a procedure I requested that they turn the music off or change it to something soft. They were playing pop/rock that I would never listen to and didn't want in my head all day. The dentist said No, because it was "scientifically proven" to be relaxing for patients. I was HIS patient at the time; it was not relaxing for me. And there was only one other patient in the office. Then he said I wouldn't hear the music when he started drilling! This made an already stressful experience worse. The dentist I loved when I joined the practice now has very limited hours, 2 afternoons a week, so it's very difficult to get an appointment with her. It may be time to find a new dental practice that is more patient-friendly.

Love this place! I've been coming here for 7 years and have always been met with a smile at every appointment. Everyone who works here is great, and I'm also glad to say I now am bringing my kids here as well. Thanks VIP Dental Lounge for being the best place in the neighborhood for dental care!

I’ve had a great experience at VIP for orthodontia with Dr. Chong. The staff is warm, professional, and always makes me feel comfortable and cared for. I especially appreciate how responsive they are — they listen and clearly want the best for their patients. I’m happy with the care I’ve received and would recommend them!

Wonderful staff and amazing energy throughout the practice. Friendly dentists and such state of the art technology! I had such a pleasant first time appointment there and every one is so accommodating. Thank you 💜
