I hesitate to give higher than 3 stars. I found Dr Patel when I first moved to Chicago. I needed a new dentist and had to get some work done. After a year being their patient, I switched due to insurance changes. Pros: - clean, friendly, and inviting environment. - work has held up so far, and it seemed to be both aesthetically pleasing, and durable. - they have a high-tech office and can do most procedures in house. - GREAT with patients that have dental anxiety. Cons: - the fillings I got done were troublesome in the first few weeks. She drilled more than what was necessary according to my new dentist. - they can tend to upsell procedures and fixes. I wish I had gotten a second opinion first and compared costs. - Dr Patel is quick with her work. So far no issues, but it caused me to worry that the quality was lacking. Overall a quality dental office with some lovely folks. If you go here currently, or become a new patient, my biggest suggestion is to ask questions. Make sure they give sound logic behind why they suggest the work they suggest. They often cite AI and fancy cameras to help them diagnose, but I can’t help but wonder how effective this process is. Sometimes it’s nice to see it on the X-rays and have the dentist themselves explain (in detail) the reasoning. I won’t be returning as a patient, but also wouldn’t fear my friends or family going here.

Genuinely one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a dentist. I cannot recommend not going here enough. They're a drill-happy organization that is just looking for money. I got cavities filled from this dentist and have had issues with the side of my mouth that was worked on for over 12 months at this point. First, they never gave me a quote for the fillings which is just conniving behavior. After not being able to eat on that side of my mouth and experiencing extreme sensitivity a month after the procedure, I was dismissed and not treated. One week later, my filling fell out while brushing my teeth. When I requested to have it refilled they initially scheduled me a full week out. A gaping hole in my tooth for a week. Awesome. When I came in for the refill, I wasn't numbed and the dentist started drilling- actively had tears rolling down my face asking her to stop which finally worked. After this experience, I've just sucked up the pain for a year since going back would inevitably make things worse. Do not go here

Been a patient here for 4 or so years, Dr. Patel and her staff go above and beyond. I was called Dr. Patel on a Saturday when she was not working for her when I was having severe tooth pain, she was able to walk me through what to do. She’s always surpassed expectations and has been thorough and kind. Her Hygeniest are so nice.

I previously went to Rooted and overall thought the office staff was great. Unfortunately I'm finding that I've had a lot of dental issues in the following years, and have been told more than once this is likely a result of too much work being completed too quickly, with not enough x-rays and time elapsed to truly know if it was all necessary. I had an appointment for fillings and ended up with terrible TMJ issues after that have persisted for years. My jaw was shaking by the time we called it quits. I thought this was all normal, but I was a little naive. Had to go through lots of PT as a result and still occasionally have to schedule dry needling. This was never a major issue for me prior. A lot of my fillings, which are <5 years old have already had to be replaced as well. While they are great to interact with, I'm finding my experience was less than ideal.

A great dentist experience and I don’t like going to the dentist. Let me explain why. Everyone I came into contact with had a pleasant demeanor which isn’t common. The dentist was concerned about me feeling pain during my procedure so she gave me a stress tooth to squeeze and more novocaine. She checked on "how I was feeling" during the procedure. The place is nicely decorated and have all the newest innovations for making any dentist experience better. Parking can be challenging simply because it’s located in Lincoln Park but parking can be found on Clark street but make sure you download the Park Chicago app.

This may have been the first time I didn’t want to RUN out of the dentists office. My dental hygienist, Jillian, was INCREDIBLE. Super gentle, very warm and friendly, and even gave me some really good recommendations. I felt like she actually cared about my dental health. If this place takes your insurance why would you ever go anywhere else? I might be excited to go back.

It started off as a great experience, however, they recommended I have two fillings done on my front two teeth, and after 9 months, one popped out while flossing. Went back to get it fixed, and unfortunately after another 2 months it popped out again. I went to another dentist and they said that Rooted Dental took out more of my tooth than what was needed to fix the filling, leaving more potential for future problems. It also felt like Rooted Dental rushed the fix compared to the dentist I just saw. Very friendly staff but unfortunately quality and execution are not there!
