Dentists of Buena Park

I used to come to this office regularly, but I eventually stopped because it felt like a revolving door of dentists. I was looking for consistency and wanted a single dentist I could be comfortable with. I was overdue for a cleaning and, since I didn’t want to deal with new paperwork, I decided to come back. As expected, I was seen by a dentist I did not recognize. The appointment took about 1 hour and 30 minutes just for X-rays. It appeared the schedule was overbooked, seemingly at the expense of quality, which I can understand to a degree. What really bothered me was what followed. While discussing my X-rays, I was told that I had no cavities and only slight plaque buildup. Despite this, a financial representative was sent in to explain that they were recommending a laser treatment in addition to the cleaning. I told them I was not interested. Later, a second person came in to schedule my six-month appointment. I asked why I was being charged $440 for laser treatment, especially since I had never received it before. She said it was only a recommendation and that she could remove it. I explained that this was not what the first person had told me. I also made it clear that I don’t pay for dental insurance just to come in for a routine checkup and then be asked to pay $440 out of pocket for something I didn’t need. Overall, the experience left me feeling like it was a money-grab shake-down—focused on their financial interest rather than my dental health—by offering unnecessary services despite confirming that I had no cavities and only minimal plaque.

I get regular check ups at Dentists of Buena Park. Recently got my wisdom teeth removed there as well. Their facilities are always up to date and clean. They always do a good job. I have no complaints and would happily return to get work done there in the future.

Disappointed with my experience. Paid $59 for a new patient cleaning special, but instead of a standard cleaning, they only did an exam and polish while pushing deep cleaning and wisdom tooth extraction—services I didn't ask for and don't need. When I declined the upsells, the polish felt rushed and uncomfortable. The advertised cleaning price is misleading if it's only offered as a bundle with expensive procedures. Not recommended if you want straightforward dental care without pressure tactics. Avoid this place if you are a new patient, waste of time and money

Nice experience and good service. With the insurance my cavity charges $95. I also like the test for the saliva.

This place is great! We recently switched dentist and came to this location with my family. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I have 3 kids and my youngest daughter had her first dental appointment. She was very nervous. But the dental hygienist was so sweet and comforting, my daughter settled and was laughing and thought her first experience was so fun! The dentist was very sweet and gentle as well. All and all my kids had great experiences here. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Oh also they saw us quickly, we were in and out in record time!
