I’ve been coming here since I was young and now my kids all I’m going to say is the work they put in to make sure your satisfied and I live all the way in the Bronx when I mean they are worth it. All staff that helps with the appts even when having my younger son I’m grateful all departments do excellent work but I’m speaking on dental confidence is key and they do the up most to make sure me and my kids are satisfied I love them..the staff helped making my 4 year old a glove ballon she was so helpful though he wasn’t being seen. As you can see from the pictures below my daughter has cracked her front tooth they did the big one. All the staff from the time her incident happened has worked together. When I mean we appreciate you all we do. Front desk staff from the time I came in to when I left always positive I love Methodist staff thank you again.

This practice started off great last year but has only gone downhill. The dentists and doctors are good but trying to call them is a complete waste of time now. Absolutely no one picks up the phone. I have been calling the office for over 2 months now with no answers and I have scheduled appointments. When I leave voicemails, they are never returned. I was scheduled for several deep cleanings and checked with my insurance to make sure they would cover them. It turns out my insurance will only cover them once every two years. When I tried to cancel some of my upcoming appointments because of this, the receptionist informed me that everything was okay and I would not receive any bills. I went with the advice of the receptionist and within months, I received texts saying that two of the bills were not covered and that I would be responsible for paying them! My advice would be to listen to your insurance because the receptionists will say anything. They are not knowledgeable or even willing to look into individual cases. The long waits, the discrepancy of the receptionists, the cramped dental space/waiting area all should be avoided. Go elsewhere. Maybe they will take your case more seriously and give you the individualized attention you deserve. This place is too jam-packed for that. They are overwhelmed with calls, walk-ins and appointments which is probably why they stopped answering phones. In addition, getting an appointment will take you at least 6 months. Your appointments will be spread far down the line. They will tell you to try to come in as a walk-in early in the morning to be seen but expect to wait there for over six hours. Here, you’re just a number and not a patient.

I rarely give bad reviews because I trust that businesses are striving to do their best, even when a demand is high BUT yesterday’s frustration is permeating within me and I must create awareness. I detest going to the dentist because as old as I could listen, I’ve been advised about the money grab it is and organized, systemic scamming it could potentially be. I made an appt with NYP Dentistry back in November after an abscess from an infected molar was punctured and spread infection to my throat. I went to Kings County hospital for emergency treatment and antibiotics to prevent the infection from spreading further. They advised that they couldn’t take my insurance to perform a root canal but referred me to NYP. After waiting 2 months with an active infection still present in my mouth I was called to confirm my appt coming up within a few days. At the time of the reminder call I was told that Kings County used a endo consultation credit that can only be covered every 6 months—although I went there for emergency treatment. That is not NYP’s fault. But subsequently, I’d have to pay a hearty $205 out of pocket just for consultation there. I arrive to my appointment 1/5/26, admittedly 30 min behind, because my GPS took me to the wrong office on Kings Highway, and then the wrong wing when I got to 6th street. Apparently as a new patient, I’m not subject to confirmation emails with details of the appt, only phone calls, and I forgot to ask the address upon confirming days prior. The front desk was outwardly kind and advised that I’d have to wait longer and the dentist would possibly be able to still see me— depending on schedule. No worries, I was 30 min late. I filled out new patient paperwork and sat patiently from 3:30-5:40p until another receptionist asked me if my ID and insurance was collected. I informed that it was not, and provided the documents. After a few minutes, a dental assistant comes out with the aforementioned $205 payment agreement form. I asked if there was an option to be billed or do a payment plan as seen on the NYP website. I recently lost work and did not anticipate prior to the phone call, coming out of pocket for this very necessary and very drawn out procedure. The receptionist informed me that the payment plans did not apply to NYP dentistry, specifically. I took that on the chin because I already know in America, health seems to be a luxury— not a human right available to everyone. I wondered why this wasn’t brought up 2 hours ago when I filled out paperwork upon my arrival. I initially left, angrily, but shortly after returned after being able to come up with the $205. I thanked them for still be able to see me that evening and gave the office the money. I sat with the dentist for less than 10 min, taking brand new X-rays because x-rays I took in November, elsewhere, apparently weren't "clear enough". Anyway, after a roller coaster of emotions with this process of trying to get a root canal, I patiently waited as she analyzed my x-rays with the head Endodontist. She revealed to me that the head Endo would not be able to conduct a root canal because of a hereditary calcified tooth condition within my molars, in which she acknowledged awareness that some patients do have. They would need a special microscope—that they have not invested in getting, to perform this procedure. I’ve seen other reviews referring to this issue as well and wonder why the NYP Dentistry practice, as quick as they are to collect money, are slow to advance their equipment to accommodate the medical procedures of their patients. I was truly looking forward to finally having progress with the infection in my mouth, especially being advised that my tooth is healthy enough to be saved for a root canal. I have all of my original teeth. Resorting to an extraction would truly be at the negligence of the NYP dentistry not doing their due diligence in investing in proper tools. 2 stars instead of 1 because they were kind, despite a waste of $205 and the flawed medical system of America.

This is not a great place to come for your dental work. A few months ago I had Sandy Wu do my fillings for me and there are two issues. 1. I needed filling on two teeth that are next to each other. The first round she failed to use matrix bands when filling so I could not floss, had to come back and she removed some of the filling only to refill the tooth same leaving my teeth very sensitive since they were done so close and even to this day I have issues flossing because of it. 2. She did a filling for my bottom teeth the same day but proceeded to use silver filling without my knowledge and didn’t ask if I wanted white filling. Strange because she used white filling for the top teeth the same day but decided to use silver on the bottom without notifying me. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon and wasn't able to be seen because it was past the admittance window. The website says they offer emergency Dental consultation 24/7.. I'm not sure how that works, but I was kindly told to come back early Monday morning for care. They accept walk-in emergency dental patients on Saturday from 8:30am - 12:30pm, or until max capacity is reached. No hours on Sundays. I'm posting a photo of all hours..

What’s the point of having a phone number , if no one ever answers the calls?? Horrible communication from dentists and front desk women !!! Why do I have to call over 30 times back to back just for someone to hopefully pick up ??? It’s ridiculous.
