My experience at Dr. McMillan's office today, was as always, pleasant, comfortable and a relief. Like a lot of dental issues, it was sudden, extremely painful and unexpected. Once again, I was able to see someone right away, his receptionist and nurses always treat me great as well... and that made my day wonderful instead of the nightmare that it could have been. I will continue to go to him and refer to him to both family and friends.

Nearly three years ago today, I went to this office for a crown and a filling. At the time, I chose them intentionally, left a positive review, and felt satisfied with the care I received. During that visit, I was referred to another doctor on Balfour for a buildup. The receptionist—who was always very kind—sent a written referral requesting a buildup. I had the buildup placed as requested with their referral and then returned to Dr. McMillan’s office to complete the crown. At the time, I believed the work had been done well. About a year later, the crown broke off. I contacted the office and scheduled an appointment for them to evaluate the issue. During that visit, I was informed that no post had been placed with the buildup. I still have the referral documentation, and met with the referral, and it clearly does not request a post to be placed—meaning this oversight was the responsibility of Dr. McMillan’s office, not the referring provider they said. When I returned to see Dr. McMillan, he told me he would refund part of the cost because insurance would no longer cover the repair as it’s been less than a year and advised me to find another dentist. Only a portion of the money was refunded—not the full amount I paid for the buildup or related work—leaving me out of pocket for an issue that was never properly resolved even until today. Two years later, the other tooth they filled during the same time frame failed again. The filling came out and broke on the two nights ago today. When I returned to the office today, I was told it was "just the filling" and that they could replace it—but I would have to pay $300 again. The crown itself was never properly fixed, and now the filling is not fixed! I still had to pay $100 for x-ray. I have had multiple fillings done by other dentists over the years, and none have ever fallen out like this. There crown and filling job two opposite areas of my month both failed, making the money I spent feel completely wasted. I refuse to pay again for the same problem that has never been correctly addressed. I do not understand why insurance companies—or patients—are expected to keep paying for work that breaks, falls out, and carries no accountability from the provider. Instead of taking responsibility, apologizing, or correcting the issue, I was told today that the doctor does not want me to return as a patient—without any valid explanation. This was extremely unprofessional, especially considering the unresolved issues stem from their own work. Due to the repeated failures, lack of accountability, incomplete refunds, and dismissive treatment, I will be filing a formal complaint with the dental board. No one has fixed the original mistake, and I have been left paying for problems that should never have occurred. SHAME ON THEM!

Poor results after getting a crown here. Color did not match, fit wasn't good and dentist actually got frustrated with me. (can't explain that) I was the patient, and he was supposed to be providing the care. The dentist actually walked out mid-procedure and was very unprofessional. It was traumatic, but I was willing to go back as all previous care had been good. When I tried to talk with him, he refused and dropped me as a patient. The whole experience was traumatic. Responding to the dentist: Yes, this happened in 2021. No you did not refund me, only my insurance. You can check your records. No you did not "recommend" I find other care. You sent me a letter stating you would no longer treat me when I had an appointment on the books for you to fix the bite on the crown. Even today your response is to try and dismiss my concern as a "grudge". I can't explain the odd reaction you had and still have today. Now one of crowns you placed has to be replaced. I was understanding, fair, and respectful about this situation. You were not and chose to react in a very unprofessional manner.

Dr. McMillan is so personable. The whole family enjoys visiting the dentist. Not very usual and the staff at Brentwood office are amazing and so welcoming.

I love this dental office! Barbara at the front desk is warm, friendly, and approachable. Dr McMillan and staff have always given exceptional care. Our family has received cleaning and checkups. I had two veneers replaced a few months back, and I am very happy with the results. Dr McMillan is friendly, down to earth, and gives patient focused care. During the process of having the veneers redone, I had a minor complication, and he was able to work me into the schedule in the Walnut Creek office to take care of it. I have recommended this office to other family members in the area as well.

I can't recommend Premier Dental Center and Dr. Daniel J. McMillan enough! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The entire staff is professional, kind, and attentive to every detail. Dr. McMillan's expertise and gentle approach made my dental experience truly exceptional. He takes the time to explain procedures and ensure you're comfortable every step of the way. The clinic is clean, modern, and uses the latest technology, which gave me confidence that I was receiving the best care possible. I’m extremely happy with the results and look forward to my next visit. If you're looking for a top-notch dental experience, this is the place to go!

Dr. Monterosso is the absolutely best. Very thorough with her cleanings, she is the only dentist I will ever go to!
