I have gone to this dentist office for 5 or 6 years. I have always made my appointments... you can check my track record... unfortunately I have had some struggles with my special needs son lately that are out of my control. I have had to reschedule my appointments last min a couple times because of this, however I called, was honest and informed them of what was going on. I missed an appointment today due to an emergency, and informed the receptionist as soon as I was able to call. When I called back to reschedule.. Adam answered and was extremely short and rude with me despite explaining my unforseen circumstances and despite me apologizing profusely about missing my appointment, and clearly distressed. ...because of these circumstances, I asked if I could just call to reschedule once things have settled for me a bit and I figure out this situation with my son. I was informed I was no longer able to make an appointment and that I would need to call in daily to see if they can do a same day appointment. I understand if I was being straight negligent, but that is not the case. I have called and been honest about my situation and always informed them if I could not make it and/or needed to reschedule. The lack of humility and understanding, while I am going through a very difficult time is actually super disheartening. I would like to get my teeth fixed ... its not my fault that this happened. I was hoping there would be more understanding for what people are going through than this. After being treated the way I was treated today, I will not be returning to this dental office...
Saw Dr McGregor for teeth cleaning and exam. He was very attentive, sensitive, personable, excellent and gentle cleaning, very thorough exam. His dental assistant was also kind and friendly. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. I do call them once a year to make sure my insurance plan is covered there. But I do that with all my care providers. Highly recommend Dr McGregor.
This one is deserved too. Dr. Wolff and his associate hygienist, and the front office staff at Boulder Dental Center Arapahoe are outstanding—both individually and as a team. Their coordination and professionalism clearly elevate the level of care. Beyond my scheduled procedure, Dr. Wolff also corrected an old dental issue from years ago, going well above and beyond expectations. The care felt thoughtful, timely, and genuinely patient-focused. Highly recommended.
Great experience with the entire staff. Everyone was very kind, professional and welcoming. Dr. Tran did a very good job of making me comfortable and walking me through all of her thoughts and decisions. Sunny was very kind as well as the front desk agent whose name I didn’t get. Knowledgeable and well run dentist!
I’m sharing my personal experience to help others understand that different dental clinics can sometimes have very different approaches. I initially visited this clinic for a routine check up because I was experiencing some tooth sensitivity and was concerned that a filling might be damaged. During that visit, a partial X-ray was taken, and I was told there was a dark spot on one tooth and that I might need a root canal. I was advised to schedule a consultation to evaluate it further. When I called to schedule the consultation, I was informed that the consultation fee alone would be $250. Because I had an upcoming cleaning appointment at the beginning of the new year that included full X-rays, I decided to wait and see whether the same concern would appear on a full set of images. At my next visit, a full X-ray was taken. At that appointment, the root canal was not mentioned at all. Instead, I was told that I had several cavities (two larger and two smaller ones). This came as a surprise, as I regularly attend dental checkups twice a year and had not previously been told I had cavities. I requested copies of my X-rays and decided to seek another opinion at my previous dental clinic. After reviewing the same X-rays, that dentist identified only one possible area of concern. She took an additional X-ray and performed a clinical examination, including probing the tooth, and explained that she did not find signs that would clearly indicate an active cavity. She recommended monitoring the area and specifically stated that she did not want to drill unless there was clear evidence it was necessary. Based on this experience, I realized that treatment recommendations can vary significantly between providers. I’m grateful that I sought a second opinion before proceeding with irreversible dental work.
Dr. McGregor and his assistant, Melissa, were so patient and empathetic with my anxiety and discomfort when it came to propping my mouth open. They worked with me minute-by-minute...if you have anxiety when it comes to dental care, you won't find a more compassionate, thorough, and capable dentist than Dr. McGregor. I cannot more highly recommend this excellent and caring provider.
Had a great first visit today for a teeth cleaning and minor fillings! I was kinda nervous since it had been a year since my last dentist appointment, but all my fears were allayed by my wonderful hygienist and Dr. Wolff. I may not have the world’s most beautiful smile, but I left assured my teeth are healthy and clean. For anyone feeling nervous to try a new dentist just remember you are your own best health advocate so speak up and ask questions until you are satisfied! You drive your own experience.
