George Mason Dental: Vo Duy Q DDS

A close friend of mine had a troubling experience at this dental office. She came in with her client, just trying to make sure everything went smoothly for their appointment. Instead of being treated with basic respect, she was met with unnecessary attitude and judgment from the front desk staff. She felt unwelcome and mistreated, and it was clear that assumptions were being made based on how she looked. No one deserves to be made to feel less than—especially when they are showing up to support someone else’s health and care. It’s disappointing to see a healthcare setting where empathy and professionalism should be standard, but instead, certain people are treated as outsiders. I hope this office seriously reflects on how they engage with all individuals, regardless of their race or role.

I’ve visited this dental office before and had a negative experience that left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. The way some staff interact with certain people feels biased and unprofessional. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.

Love Dr. Vo and staff. His front desk folks have been there a long time and know their patients. Dr. Vo is kind and a great dentist. My daughter started going to him at age 3 because I loved him so much and I basically begged him to take her. She's 21 and is still going. Front desk staff ask about her all the time. So glad I found Dr. Vo years ago.

I’ve now been with Dr. Vo for a full year (or 3 regular cleanings and 3 panic visits when I thought I’d have to get a front tooth removed!!!). I am sooo grateful for the kindness and efficiency of Dr. Vo and his staff! They helped refer me to specialists who could help with tricky front teeth implants, going the extra mile to help get me in the other offices a lot quicker than I would have gotten on my own. I’ve also never been to a dental office where the dentist is the one doing the actual teeth cleaning- with the wonderful hygienist to support and then finish up with a polish and floss. 2021: I’ve never had a better teeth cleaning! They use techniques that diminish discomfort while increasing the thoroughness of the cleaning. I had to pay a little out of pocket after insurance, but it was well worth it for me. Parking lot is comes up quickly, and there are designated spaces for patients. I appreciated waiting in the car until the staff came for me and got me in/out without seeing any other patients.

I had a great visit today. The entire staff was nice and friendly. The office was very clean. The Dr was great and communicated well. After a long journey to find a dentist I found a good one. Very happy with this office and I will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great dentist.

Realized I have been seeing Dr. Vo for 15+ years this year. He is the most precise, efficient, and professional dentist I have ever seen. Never a wait, they respect your appointment time. The best! Also, he must be great to work with as the office manager has been with him the entire time my wife and I have been patients.

Dr. Vo is great. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Very clean, professional, and efficient. Family friendly too. Congrats on being named a 2023 top dentist in Washingtonian Magazine!
