I really appreciate the Ultra store. They offer a wide variety of services and products that I use on a regular basis. Always upfront and honest about everything. Especially the Salon service, which is excellent. Mostly because of Kara , she is my favorite hairdresser ever. She always has a positive outlook for everything. She always makes my hair shine. Her skills are exceptional and she actually answers my questions about hair and beauty products. Than you Ulta and Thank you Kara for the excellent service.
Unfortunately, Google does not allow you to put in more than one review so I had to take away my five star review to comment on Britney who I didn’t even wanna give one star to today. I went in the store and I purchased some items and they did not have the proper change in the drawer instead of going up a few cents and giving me back a couple extra cents she decided that I would have to take it And take a loss that is not professional. She never once explained to me hey would you like to pay with debit because there’s a chance that I won’t be able to give you back your change and then when I mentioned it I said wait you shorted me this much she said yeah so it’s only this much maybe that’s in your world and the way you live. It’s not a big deal but to me as a mom of three and their father passed away and it’s right after Christmas every penny counts no pun intended and a short me three pennies would normally be like you know what take it, but it’s the way you handled it. You never explained to me that there was a shortage issue you never offered me to use debit instead and furthermore, the professional way to handle it is you should’ve given me a nickel and your million dollar company should’ve taken the loss And if you’re doing this to more than me then how much extra change are you winding up in your drawer at the end of the night and then who’s pocket does that go into the multimillion dollar company? That’s already double charging for everything. Does that sound fair to you but I do believe in karma and I will tell you this that’s somewhere down the road somebody’s gonna treat you as nonchalant as you did me about your precious belongings and when they do, you can think of the way you treat other people Otherwise I have to say that I have seen her a few times She does not have a nice face and on top of that she’s very very muggy and I don’t ever judge people but when you’re not the most attractive woman in the world, you can look like you are by being kind, but you’re not. I’ve seen you with other customers I don’t even know why you’re in customer service you’re not very nice. Today was the first time I had the privilege of experiencing your rude demeanor and it sucked. I’ll be honest it sucked but lucky for you when I called your manager to report it and and explain what happened to me. She was kind enough to make me feel like my opinion mattered and what was done to me was wrong and unprofessional as she also is a mother and understood the value of a penny or a few pennies
My teenage daughters love this store to browse for makeup and to continue their "scent collection". However as a middle aged mama, this store gives me a headache and chest tightness just from the amount of scents lingering from every teenie bopper spraying every scent. If you are sensitive to high amounts of perfume, maybe wait for them at the door if you can.
What is going on with this place?! Over the loud speaker I hear "scan all zones"? What in the world. It's happened the last two times I've been in to shop. I feel as if im being watched!!
I went to this Ulta hoping for guidance in creating a natural "no-makeup makeup" look, but I left feeling very disappointed. The associate did not properly shade-match me. The concealer I was recommended gave me a whitish cast, and the products chosen didn’t actually suit the soft, natural look I asked for. Instead, it felt like I was being sold items they wanted to push, rather than products that truly worked for my skin tone and goals. I went to Sephora after and they actually recommended some great products that worked better. I know Ulta has a huge selection so maybe it was hard for them to chose but I’d rather her tell me she doesn’t know that suggest things that flat out contradict the whole look. On top of that, when I returned for a hair appointment with a clear inspo photo, the style didn’t match what I asked for and the curls didn’t even last the 20-minute ride home. For the time and money spent, I expected better product knowledge, honesty, and styling that would hold up outside the salon. This felt like I went to my aunts house for her to flat iron my hair instead of meeting with someone who is supposed to be an expert. I had to tell her how to handle my hair and they didn’t even wash it properly. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I think it’s important to share so others know that this location is not brown girl friendly in terms of product knowledge and styling.
While the store itself is nice, the customer service has been a huge disappointment. Instead of offering assistance, employees seem more focused on mocking customers who may not know exactly what they're looking for. It's disheartening that they don't take the time to understand and help. I used to have a great experience there, especially with Jade—she was incredible. I truly miss her service. Unfortunately, given the recent changes, I won't be returning.
I usually don’t leave reviews, but i had to give Brulinda a shoutout! she absolutely killed it with my hair! i walked in not totally sure with what i wanted and she managed to capture it perfectly! she was super tedious and even styled my hair for me! super sweet, easy to talk to and clearly knows her stuff. I can tell she genuinely cares for what she does. I’ve never been happier with a salon. if you’re thinking about booking her, do it!
