Kacey is the best! She gave me an incredible bouncy blowout for a date night out and it lasted me all night. I told her how I like to style my hair at home with a curler, so something flowy and bouncy, and she did just that! She is also a total hoot to talk to and laugh with. Book with Kacey, you won't regret the vibes!

I’ve been a loyal client of Ulta Beauty Salon for years and have always had excellent experiences — the staff has always been kind, professional, and honest. That’s why this recent visit was such a shock. Since my regular stylist left, I booked a Signature Haircut with a new beginner stylist, Kacey S. Initially, everything seemed fine, but she began washing my hair and applying products I had no idea would cost extra. She never mentioned pricing or asked for my consent — I assumed it was part of the standard wash that comes with the haircut. At one point, she asked if I had ever had treatments at this salon, and I said yes. Later, when the manager questioned the charges, Kacey twisted my words, claiming that my answer meant I had agreed to treatments that day. This was completely false and deceptive; she used my past experience to justify charging me for services I never approved. When I checked out, my total was nearly $200, even though the Signature Haircut I booked online was $75. The front desk lady called the manager, and I learned that Kacey S. had canceled my original appointment and rebooked it herself into multiple separate services — haircut, blowout, and treatments — without telling me. She also charged me for a blowout, which has always been included with the haircut in every previous experience I’ve had here. It felt like she was trying to sneak in extra charges to increase her commission. When the manager addressed it, Kacey S. initially denied not mentioning prices, then admitted she hadn’t. When the manager said they would adjust my price back to what I originally booked, Kacey immediately said, "So am I not getting my credit!? That’s not fair!" — right in front of me. Her attitude changed instantly, becoming defensive and upset, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. It was clear her focus was on money, not my experience. To make matters worse, the haircut itself was terrible. I asked for a butterfly cut with curtain bangs at shoulder length, but what I received doesn’t even look like bangs — just flyaway pieces going in opposite directions. She clearly struggled while cutting, but I tried to trust the process. Oh boy, was I wrong. The result looked nothing like what I asked for and was not worth the price. I’ve never written a review before, but this experience was unacceptable and needed to be addressed. After years of trusting this salon, I left feeling deceived, uncomfortable, and poorly treated. I will not be returning and strongly recommend that others avoid booking with Kacey S. until she learns to treat clients with honesty, professionalism, and respect.

I just received the best haircut of my life from Azita! I went from longer hair to a short bob, and she handled the transformation with so much care. She took her time with every strand, precise, detailed, and truly a perfectionist in the best way. The cut took longer than average, but the result is exactly what I wanted. It falls perfectly and is easy to maintain. Azita also recommended an amazing hair product, which I love (JVN air dry cream). I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Azita for 3 years now for my hair, and she’s absolutely amazing! She truly knows what she’s doing and always makes my hair look perfect. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair — she’s that good! Every visit feels personalized, and I always leave feeling confident and refreshed. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who genuinely cares and delivers every single time! She’s the only reason I go to this location!

I truly get some people complaining why no one is approaching them when they’re inside the store. As painful as it is for some, it would also be quicker to just come right up to any staff who’s not helping anyone or not doing something and straight up ask if they could help you because that’s what i did. Haley helped me with color matching and was so patient to me about it and also advised me on my facial undertones so i’ll know how to choose anything next time. She didn’t rush and took her time with me until i was satisfied with what i wanted. She was incredible!

I met Silva at a salon near where I live and since I already knew her I decided to trust her again and go to her new place which is ULTA. I start getting my hair done on April 3rd 2024 The first 4 visits went well, at first she was doing a good job as you can see on the first pics I was so happy that I even sent her messages thanking her for the way she took care of my hair,, my nightmare started when she used a chemical while she was washing off the color and wanted to leave it on for 5 minutes and the first time I couldn't stand it, and that day I remember a man came without an appointment and they told Silva that she had to cut his hair, and she wanted to leave me with that chemical while she did the cut, and that's when I begged her to wash that chemical off because it burned and itched and the cut was going to last more than 5 minutes, September 29 is the day she started using this chemical which I described, on October 3rd I contacted her via Instagram which is where we always contacted each other to ask her what chemical she had used, and I told her that the last visit had caused me a lot of itching and didn’t let me rest and that i had to I get up in the middle of the night to wash my hair to see if I felt relief i don't know if she was experimenting on me.. It's the first time in my entire life that I see someone use one stronger chemical after another. After that she contacted me to tell me that she had talked to the managers and they wanted to give me a free cool treatment to help me with my scalp, in which they gave me an appointment for that, it helped me but it was not the solution, kept going for 3 or 4 sessions but told her didn’t want that chemical anymore, cause i can feel that my scalp got so sensitive, my hair began to fall out in large quantities, that scared me.. It all seemed very strange to me, because after that she never wanted to accept my tip, She had the nerve to blame my hair loss on my health, I went to the doctor on November 11 to prove her wrong, she wants to get out of this with clean hands.. She knows exactly what she did… i called ULTA BEAUTY even though Silva told me they already knew I I decided to call Ulta and let them know what I'm going through and I spoke to the store manager Jessi , who was very nice and told me she would pass the message on to the salon manager cause she was in a meeting no call back that shows how little they care, Jan 30th i saw a dermatologist and sure enough everything was caused from the chemicals..my intention in doing this review is to prevent other people from going through the same thing as me, All this caused me a lot of distress both mentally and physically I wish any ULTA manager could see with their own eyes the condition my hair and scalp is in, I have been documenting everything since my hair started falling out with photos and videos. UPDATE Ulta called me and they want to pay my doctor's bills and refund the service charge, the manager promised to call me with information about the Salon insurance and it's been almost two weeks and Tammy the manager hasn't called again Wow 🤔

I don't leave a lot of reviews usually, but I'd give 10 stars if I could!! Amy J is a hair wizard! She's the only person who's allowed to touch my hair for a reason. She knows my hair goals and gives me the most beautiful layers and blowout every single time. Since seeing her and taking her product recommendations, my hair has been healthier, longer, and silkier! I genuinely believe that it's because of her I finally have waist length healthy hair! She's so easy to communicate with too, so if I ever feel like I want something changed or want to try something new, it's never a problem and she picks up on exactly what I want. When I don't even know what I want, she helps me figure it out so quickly! I went to get my hair cut recently and it really felt like just hanging out with a friend. If you're looking for a new hair girl in Santa Monica, you should absolutely go see Amy. She's a natural!
