The Essence team was amazing. They were able to accommodate our group of four same day during a busy holiday weekend. The location is perfect for a quick escape from the downtown activities but close enough to stroll back out and continue about where we enjoyed some lunch and wine tasting. When we arrived we immediately felt the calm and tranquil atmosphere. Very clean and tastefully decorated. I had a facial and it was the perfect treatment with minimal but informative communication where I was able to relax and enjoy. I personally don’t like a lot of talking during a treatment. Our three others received massage treatments, one couples, one single, they all thoroughly enjoyed their service with my husband noting his therapist delivered the proper amount of pressure which for him is important. Overall we four had a great experience and would love to book again.

Came here for a massage while on vacation and I had the best experience! Both Monica the owner and Mario the massage therapist were so hospitable! Although I had originally booked for a 12:30 appointment I was trying to get started earlier in order to make to my train on time. Monica asked Mario to stay and preform my massage although he was done for the day and I couldn't be more grateful to him! To top it off, Monica gifted me a beautiful handmade soap bar. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area and refer friends to book at Essence because of this super pleasant experience! Thank you both for the hospitality from the heart!

I have been going here for a couple of years and I love it! Monica is super responsive when I text her with questions and setting up appointments. I highly recommend doing a membership if you want regular massages or facials. They have a ton of services! My go to massage therapist are Danny and Tom. But I know all of the therapists are great!

Temporarily closed due to fire Do not book right now. Call and cancel your appointments. Was looking forward to a massage. Booked a couple weeks ago and no one called or texted to say there had been a fire and to cancel our appointments. I’m sure they were a great place. Just have to wait for them to rebuild.

Really enjoyed my first time coming to Essence. I was greeted by a kind woman who led me to bench to wait, as I was 15 minutes early for my appt. I don’t recommend coming early as there is no formal waiting room, but they kindly offered me tea while I waited. Don gave me a fantastic 80 min massage: combo of lymphatic drainage and a sports massage. It was my first time getting a lymphatic drainage massage and he explained the what and why clearly and efficiently. When we moved onto the sports massage - wow! He knows how to knead the knots away and also had an interesting technique of rapidly shaking the muscles. It felt like a human theragun and was very effective. The environment was calming, clean and I really enjoyed my experience. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Don for a fantastic massage.

I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had with Don. He really knew what he was doing to help down regulate my nervous system. He encouraged me to do deep breathing the entire time and I felt years of stress melt away. So glad I found this place!!

I love Essence Med Spa! I have a couple favorite massage therapists including Lindel who does an amazing deep tissue massage. I also recently got my first facial with them which was also wonderful. So relaxing and my skin was glowing afterward. I have a membership which keeps me coming in regularly to get a "tune up" aka massage and you get a discount on the massage with a membership or any other service.
