Mitsuwa LA Northridge

I visited this store for the first time a few weeks ago. I thought it was a niche spot, but it piqued my interest. When I went back last week, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that their hot meals and sushi were discounted after 6:30 p.m. It was such a treat after work, quick, satisfying, and affordable, that I couldn’t stop raving about it to everyone. Today, I went again at the same time, expecting the same deal, but to my surprise, everything was regular price. Did I miss something? Why the inconsistency? I still picked up a few items, but the experience left a bit of a sour taste.

Hidden gem in Northridge! Great selection of Japanese grocery items. Their pre-packed food section is amazing! So much to choose from. There's poke bowls, salmon bowls, nigiri sushi combinations. All are so good, fresh and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Mitsuwa is a wonderful international Japanese grocery store where you can find authentic items straight from Japan. While I haven’t had the chance to visit Japan yet, this store is as close as I can get for now. I came specifically looking for some instant miso soup packets, and even though I accidentally picked the wrong ones, the staff was incredibly helpful in explaining the differences and assisting me with the exchange. They also have a small produce section, along with a variety of meats like chicken, beef, fish, and more. I took some time to explore their ready-to-go meals, which include sushi, poke, bento boxes, and so much more. This was my first visit, and I’m excited to dive into all the new goodies I brought home!

My friends and I stopped by this Asian market because he wanted some Japanese mayo. I never knew that there was an Asian market in this plaza so I was interested to see what they have inside. They have some nice cookies and chocolate selection that will be great for holiday gifts. They also have some meat, ramen, candy and much more. They had boba ice cream here and also fresh soft serve ice cream. The store is not that big but they have a lot of stuff. They even have hot food and ready to go sushi for you as well. There are check out station or you can go to the typical cashier line.

Food: this is a fantastic market, where you can get your Japanese fixings. The vegetables and meat are fresh, and they also sell prepackaged meals, like sushi or curry. Parking: the market is located in a major shopping plaza so finding a parking spot shouldn’t be an issue. However, some spots are narrow. Tips: the premade food is nicely packaged and they offer a wide variety of meals. You can also get your instant ramen noodles in the noodle isle.

I have wanted to stop here when going to 85 degrees Bakery located in the same shopping center. This market is small, yet mightily packed with goodies! Plenty of ready to eat meals, snacks, sushi and desserts! The cold drink sections do not disappoint!! So many flavors & the most adorable packaging in sodas, coffees & various drinks. We always stop in for Onigiri & specialty beverages! We always eat one in the car and take extra home for a nice meal 💗 They have a whole section of Creme Hello Kitty & Friends beauty items and plenty of savory and sweet treats. I spent way too much money here. Enjoy!

Mitsuwa never disappoints. Amazing grab-and-go options, fair prices, and a consistently clean store. Even the restrooms are spotless, which says a lot about their standards. A reliable go-to every time.
