This review is for Esmeralda! I was getting married in Napa but as a DIY bride—aka someone offered their house for us to get married in for free) Naturally, I wasn’t about to fork over thousands of dollars for a Napa MUA, so I decided to just do my own makeup. Hair, on the other hand, I knew I couldn’t do, so I decided to just go to Ulta. I also needed to cover up this embarrassing back tattoo I had. Everyone I told this plan to was basically, like, "Uhhhh, are you sure?" And boy, did Esmeralda prove them wrong. My hair looked great, my tattoo was COMPLETELY COVERED UP. Literally no one in my family could even tell I had a secret huge colorful tattoo and I was wearing a ~backless dress~. Esmeralda went ABOVE AND BEYOND in helping me feel and look my best on my wedding, and I cannot thank her enough.
Beware of Adan A., a stylist at Ulta in Napa, as he was deeply disrespectful to me. Adan called me ONE HOUR before my appointment on 2/7/2026 with him for an updo to cancel the 2pm appointment I had made on 12/24/2025. He insisted that he was not cancelling my appointment but that he could only see me at 3:30pm that day. How is that not cancelling my 2pm appt? Gaslight much? No apology, no explanation, no care for the fact that his cancelling the 2pm appt had thrown my plans into disarray. He just made his incompetence to manage his schedule my problem. He would not answer my question about if he had tried to resolve the conflict by contacting his other client. He just flat out refused to acknowledge that canceling my appointment ONE HOUR before its time was an issue! He insisted that I accept his offer for 3:30 right then during the call. I told him that I needed time to think about how I can manage my schedule before I could commit to 3:30. BUT Adan would not have it and insisted that I commit to 3:30 right then. He had already cancelled the 2pm appointment. I told him that I could not commit. Later, I went to the Ulta store and talked to the manager, Myea. I showed her the texts for the appointment made on 12/24/2025, confirmations, and the cancellation done by Adan at 1:02 on 2/7/2026 the day of the 2pm appointment! She offered to make things right, but it was too late for me. Adan had done such damage that there was no trust. There are many competent people doing a great job and I don’t need to bother with someone who is disrespectful. I would have given Adan a chance if he had admitted that he had made a mistake and that he needed to reschedule. The honest and respectful way to deal with stuff that happens in life. We all have days like that… I get it. BUT no not Adan… Ulta has lost me as a customer.
I purchased a kit today and when I got home, discovered that the instructions were missing. I didn’t have a receipt due to a technical snafu so I called the store. Manager Stephanie was my angel hero tonight- she found another kit that was damaged out, scanned the instructions, and emailed them over to me. She then called me to make sure I had received them. It is rare that companies step up to this level of service any more. I will be an Ulta customer forever! Thank you, Stephanie, for saving this tired mama’s day. At least my hair will be fresh and rejuvenated now!
Very helpful team. I walked in like a blind man going to laser quest, no clue what was going on. The staff helped me out to get what I needed and were very polite.
I had a fantastic experience at this Ulta location. I don’t visit Ulta very often, I’m not much of a product girl. I went for something specific. The associate who greeted me was incredibly nice and helpful. The associate at checkout was nice and helpful. I’ll absolutely return to this location for future needs! Great job keeping customer service a focus at this Ulta! You’ve earned my business!
I came by to return and pick up a few items today and I just want to say everyone there this afternoon was absolutely lovely. I should have gotten all their names, but I do recall Alexis who told me what lashes she was wearing (spoiler, they were the Kiss Noblesse ones!) and I want to say thank you to her for making such a great recommendation ◡̈ I also want to shout out the team for being ever so helpful, kind, warm and compassionate every time I’ve walked in. This is my favorite Ulta location by far! Shout out to all the people working at/near the register this afternoon. 🤍
