I have now been there twice requesting some help, and although both of the ladies were very nice, neither of them seemed incredibly knowledgeable about the products that I was looking to purchase. The first time I was looking for skin care products, which I have never used before so I was looking for somebody that would have good knowledge of a 55-year-old woman’s skin…. And again sweetest young lady, but she couldn’t have been more than 22 years old and definitely didn’t know exactly what products would work best for my skin. Went again recently looking for something for my very curly hair which again I don’t maintain that wonderfully and wanted to find something that would help me with that and I walked out with a new hairdryer because I needed one but not because I felt like it was actually going to do what I was looking for with my hair. the young lady who once again was in her early 20s doesn’t understand a woman who has gray and brown hair and curly/frizzy hair and what that means. The other side of this is that there were other seasoned employees that just pushed me off on the younger girls. So I guess I just felt that I didn’t look worth their time. I’m not one that shops there often so I guess I’m not their target audience and then therefore not worth the efforts of a more knowledgeable employee. At least that’s the vibe I receive received.

My little sister came to visit recently, and we decided to stop by Ulta while shopping at the mall. She was out of her favorite perfume, so we went in to make a quick purchase and possibly browse a bit more. Shortly after we entered the perfume section, a staff member began following us and watching our every move. This was something we hadn’t seen any staff do with anyone else in the store. What should’ve been a fun sister outing quickly turned distasteful. We both felt targeted and profiled, and it completely ruined the experience for both of us. On our drive home, I found myself explaining what it means to be a minority in 2025 (regardless of socioeconomic status) instead of reflecting on our weekend together. Ulta, do better. Hire staff who see customers, not color. I’m quite certain this review won’t provoke any change within this location and management will likely demonstrate complete disregard to this matter. However, I trust that the 2-3 deserving women working that particular evening will be placed in a disconcerting situation that prompts reflection on how their practices affect those they serve.

I went there for a haircut, but I wasn't happy with how she cut it. I showed her a picture, but she just styled it her way—no real style—and it didn't take long. She’s so young; I think she needs more experience in proper haircutting. So, I went to another salon, Maven Salon on Cornerstone St., just to fix it. I'm really pleased because they did a great job and made my hair look even better with a nice style. I won't be returning to Ulta Hair Salon.

My daughter came in for a silk press. I am extremely happy with Laniya!!!! Not everyone can do my daughter’s type of hair texture, so I am extremely satisfied with her. Thank you so much!!! We will be back!

I had an amazing experience here! I needed help finding makeup for my brother’s wedding. I asked Sadie for help, and she went above and beyond! She helped me pick a foundation in my color and even identified some issues with my skincare routine that dramatically improved my makeup quality. Sadie answered all my questions and was incredibly kind! She taught me lots, and I am so thankful for the experience. I will definitely be returning and will always ask Sadie for help 🙂

This was only the second time I’ve shopped at Ulta. My first experience was not very good at all, however, this time Ellie more than made up for the first time! She went above and beyond to help me find the Beekman gift set I was looking for!! I was hesitant to go back after the last time, but thought I would give it another try and I’m glad I did. Thank you Ellie!! I will be back!

Zoey helped us with our skincare and she was incredible!!! Full of so much knowledge and I'm already feeling the glow from my new skincare!
