Famous Hair Beauty Supply

Was followed the entire time I was in the store!!! Had multiple items to purchase but was looking for 2 more items. I walked each aisle twice looking for these popular items before I gave up. We t to the register and they were behind the counter. I told the guy if you're gonna have your staff following people around the least they can do is ask if I need help. He rings the items up and I put the $60 on the counter. As he's bagging it up I'm getting more irritated at the disrespect because when I tell you the issue you don't apologize or anything. The audacity to setup shop in black neighborhoods and treat them like #TRASH but you'll take their money. I snatched my money up and left. I'll be damned if I pay a company my hard earned money to follow me around!!! Stop patronizing these companies that disrespect yall!!!! Put them out of business!!!!!!!!!!

On October 4, I went to this famous hair supply store, and it was one of the most horrific, experience in a store that I’ve ever had. They watch you like you’re stealing something. I turned to see if I could get someone to help me. This lady was literally standing behind me. One owl over I never heard her come up. I never heard her step up or anything. She was literally standing behind me like a mannequin watching me. When she left because she knew I knew she was watching me then the other person in the store came and I talk to him. I said not everybody steals. I’m an older person. He said we’re older people do steal so I noticed when I say something about black he flinched. You can tell that this is what it was about now this is a store that does not appear to be black owned but they’re serving mainly a black community and everywhere I went in the store they followed me everywhere. I made a decision to just walk out. I made a decision to report them. This is not customer service is HARASSMENT!!!. I even tried talking with this guy to give hints of observing people in a more respectful way and I said I’m an older person I wouldn’t wanna steal. He said older people steal, and everybody steals and he said this is the way the manager wanted it. It was awful. It was horrible. I did not feel free to shop. I felt completely harassed.

This store was everything it showed on Google. I didn't even go there for hair at all. Yet I left with 2 packages just for trying. I'm definitely returning.

Great place to get hair extensions and wigs. Keep your items UN used with your receipt because they do exchanges and refunds for unused items only. I get x-xepression hair its great with no scalp irritation and this hair comes in different lengths. I always get #2& #4 color

I used to love this store untill I bought a pony tail and the back of it was all messed up I live in indiana so I come out like every 2 weeks or so and buy more he straight up refused to exchange it! You all just lost a very good paying customer!

Even those it’s not black owned and they’re making money off our products and business, I have to respect the cleanliness of the establishment. The amount and variety of products they offer and the size of this place. The customers service is okay, but it could be cultural thing, not the most friendliest (not rude), but they could work on that bit ☺️. I’ve notice from their Fb posts, they offer many sales, discounts, and giveaways. I will continue to patronize this best.

Took my wife here to grab a wig. Not a fan of being looked at like criminals the whole time you're browsing. I know there is some racial stigma and people have come to accept this type of behavior from owners of hair stores and their employees but it isn't okay. If you want to be observant and watch your customers, do it by trying to assist them and not standing on a ladder watching over them. I won't be bringing my wife back here to purchase anytime soon. Might try again in a few months and see if business practices have changed.
