The workers here are amazing! I accidentally dropped my keys between one of the makeup gondolas while picking up a product, and they actually had to take apart part of the shelving to get them out. Not once did they make me feel bad about it—even though I felt terrible! I shop at this location pretty often, and everyone is always so kind and helpful, so their response didn’t surprise me at all. Great experience as always.

I go in monthly for bang trims. I normally see Tanner, who is amazing and SO good at cutting bangs. Unfortunately I wasn’t thinking and booked with someone else (Alex) - BIG mistake. I provided the below beach picture of what I normally want my bangs to look like. I said please cut them right above my eyebrows, just a very small trim. She turns me around and an INCH had been cut off of my bangs. Not only that, but they were cut so flat. She asked how I liked them, and I said they were a little short (already fighting back tears at this point). She then tried to say they would "look better in two days" and she "just wanted to show off my eyebrows I just got done". I cry every time I look at my bangs. They were cut so poorly I can’t even believe this person has a license. I have accidentally booked with her once before, and had the same result. I have multiple events over the next two weeks, and I just have to accept my bangs are going to be short for them. I am so incredibly disappointed and upset. First pic was what I showed her, second pic is right after they were done, third pic is after flattening them as much as I possibly can to try to make them longer.

I was minding my business in the Clinique section with headphones on and music playing while I tested out a sample. When I hear a lady go "excuse me, can I help you?" In a rather rude AND loud tone. I didn’t realize she was speaking to me as I had headphones on and was focused on what I was doing. Instead, she further approached me and proceeds to assume because I didn’t hear her the first time that I don’t speak English and proceeds to try to speak in Spanish in that same disrespectful tone. While I am Hispanic I believe it was quite rude and prejudicial of her to assume I don’t speak English. Just because I didn’t respond immediately due to my noise canceling headphones doesn’t mean I DON’T speak English JUST because I’m Hispanic looking. I had music playing and just assumed she wasn’t speaking to me because I clearly had headphones on. Teach your staff basic common decency and public common sense.

Went in to grab some of the new Pattern products. While browsing the brand there were two ladies searching for something. An employee walked by and one of the older ladies of the group asked the employee for assistance. This employee’s demeanor was disgusting to say the least. She didn’t speak at all she just blankly stared as the two were describing what they were looking for. I grabbed my items and headed to the counter. Coincidentally the employee was walking (damn near speed walking) to show the ladies whatever they were searching for. Again, her whole aura was just blah. Unfortunately, I ended up getting checked out by this same employee. Her name is Lauren and for her to be wearing a fun hot pink dress her whole vibe was that of a grey blob. There was ZERO greeting, conversation, anything at all throughout the checkout process. I almost apologized for inconveniencing her by needing to be rang out. Lauren I don’t know if it was due to it being a holiday and you having to work but honey as someone who has 10+ years in customer service..you might want to rethink your job position. This encounter was so awful, that I’ll be returning my items and buying directly from the brand website. I had the Ulta credit card and haven’t used it in over six months just due to the Ulta vibe and experiences lacking across the board. I can never get a "welcome to Ulta" (no matter how many employees are standing around near the front) and I just don’t want to spend my hard earned money with this company anymore.

I visited the Rookwood, OH Ulta last Sunday looking for a specific brand that was confusingly split between two different locations in the store. I approached an employee who I thought had just finished with another customer and asked for help. Her reaction was immediate and unprofessional: she looked at me with wide eyes, clearly annoyed, and sharply told me she would help only after she finished with the other client. I apologized and waited. When she finally assisted, she simply led me to the area, pointed at the shelf without looking at me, and walked away without a word. The entire interaction was dismissive and left me feeling like an inconvenience. Please remind your staff that all clients deserve basic respect and courtesy. This brand is readily available at the Sephora located just around the corner, in case she forgot.

I experienced extremely poor service. Not one associate asked if I needed help, but they made sure to keep an eye on me as if I was stealing. I felt really uncomfortable, and the experience was humiliating. I will NEVER shop at this location again, probably not at Ulta at all. Based on the way I was treated, I doubt they’d prefer my business anyway.
