Bluemercury

First time shopping here and not the experience I was expecting. I had my two children with me who are well behaved. Both pre teens. I walked in cause I was excited to grab a Victoria eye pencil. My girls decided to walk around and see product and grabbed some tester applicators. The employee asked me if my girls needed help to which I told her "no, they are just looking". The employee made the whole interaction weird. I realized she kept asking my girls for their opinions because she didn’t want them walking around. I had told her I wanted a specific color and while I appreciate the suggestion I would take Cocoa. I told her multiple times. Once she had swatched my hand, she turned to my girls asking that they stick out their hands and got sprayed with disinfectant? At this point, I was so confused cause they she asked them about swatching them for makeup. I said no thank you, they are too young for foundation. We were walking to the counter and she never once gave me the eye pencil. I then proceeded to tell her, I wanted the product and then she was "oh I didn’t think you’d want it or that she wasn’t sure". She went to grab it. I told the other employee, that I was leaving and I didn’t want it anymore. She made it so weird and awkward and I left confused as to why she decided to spray their hands with disinfectant. If there was an issue with children in the store, she could have said something and not made my girl feel as if she did something wrong. I was looking forward to looking around and shopping the rest of the store but after her whole interaction and client experience, left.

Big fan of Bluemercury so I was very happy excited when they opened in Carmel. Vinny is amazing. Everyone who I have come in contact has been great. So glad that I don’t need to drive to Palo Alto to shop.

It was my first time in a Bluemercury store. The Bluemercury store located in the Carmel Crossroads shopping center. I came in with the intent to look at the Chantecalle new foundation gel product. Jeremina was the sales associate and she was so great! She took the time to color match me, was very knowledgeable about issues I was having and what products she’d recommend. For a young person I was really impressed with her product knowledge. Jeremina sold me an additional two more products when I only came in with one product in mind. I’ll definitely be back in this location. It’s a breath of fresh air when compared to the other "big box" cosmetic stores. Much more attention paid to customers, exclusive or luxury products and again, customer service was unmatched. Thank you! The store was exquisite and very clean, organized and all product segments were easy to see products I might have or be interested in.

They have got the brands! Vinny was such an expert and knew everything about everything and I know my stuff. Vinny has worked in the high-end skin industry for decades in LA and it doesn’t get more intense than that. I was introduced to the hero product of the lines I was inquiring about and we agreed on everything I felt about various products. I got some great things but have stuff I need to use up at home but once I’m ready I’m going to go back for the full size products of the yummy samples Vinny loaded me up with. Such an added gem to the Crossroads!
