We recently got back from a trip to Hawaii and were really missing the weather and especially the food. My fiancé found Aloha Cookin and instantly knew we had to make the drive. From the moment he brought the carryout to the car, it smelled so incredible that we couldn’t even wait to get home. He ran back inside for utensils, and we ended up eating it right there in the parking lot, in our truck. Every single dish, side, and appetizer we ordered was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. We would highly recommend Aloha Cookin. It is 100% worth the 45-minute drive. We will definitely be back! 🌺🍍

Wow—I’ll definitely be back next week! ☺️ The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Ordering was easy thanks to their self-service kiosks, which I highly recommend using—there were about eight people waiting, and the team in the back was clearly creating absolute magic. 🪄 Despite the crowd, the wait was quick—about 10 minutes from ordering at the kiosk to having my food in hand. ⏩ I tried the Chili Chicken, and it did not disappoint. The sauce was perfectly sweet and sour, with peppers and onions throughout and sesame seeds sprinkled on top. The rice was the perfect balance to all that spectacular flavor. 🤤🤩 I also loved the macaroni salad and the namasu (cucumber salad)—both were refreshing and delicious additions to the meal. 🥒 Overall, I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to venture into a new culinary adventure. And don’t forget to grab an Aloha Maid—it’s a sip of bliss after every flavorful bite! 🌺

Great food but with limited seating (4 counter seats) plan on doing takeout. Highly recommend what we ordered: loco moco, spam and egg musubi, and the pulled pork rice plate special. We chose macaroni salad as our side and it was so good with the garlic sauce and extra kewpie mayo.

Hawaii is my favorite state to visit and the local foods are among my favorites from around the world. Calling this place as Hawaiian is misleading as only a tiny fraction of the menu is represented. Spam & Rice is an example, and with that it’s a localized adaption of mainland dishes interpreted by the locals. In one way it’s very Hawaiian, the fusion that is. A large percentage of population is Asian and many places throughout the islands cater to those taste, just like in Texas you have a lot of Mexican foods. This place is more Japanese & Korean with Hawaiian decor. I will add that the foods are well made and reflect a typical Hawaiian eatery. If you’re looking for the myriad type of Hawaiian roots, slow cooked pork, or leafy dishes, this isn’t the place. I was a little bummed that I didn’t see the dishes I had fallen in love with whilst in Hawaii. On the other hand, they make the foods that we eat at our house daily very nice. The price points are competitive, portions sizes generous, and the food quality was above average. Spartan level seating though. Thanks for the note from the owner. Hopefully I can sample the occasional Hawaiian centric dishes that I miss. This certainly was a great dining experience, just not what I was thinking.

I have one big problem with this place: everything is so good it’s too hard to choose what to eat. Ordered the spam & egg musabi, steamed dumplings, kalua pork, honey garlic shrimp, & short ribs. Sheesh, everything was incredible. I think the ribs were my favorite. Can’t forget about the rice and macaroni salad. Those were good as well.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m terrible at taking pictures of my food when I get takeout, mostly because I usually dig in the moment it’s in front of me. Still, this place was truly a breath of fresh air and completely worth slowing down for. I’ve had Hawaiian food in places like Las Vegas and Dallas, and ever since then, I’ve been hoping to find something comparable here in Michigan. This spot absolutely delivers. From the moment I opened the containers, it was clear the food was made with care and attention to detail. Everything looked fresh, smelled amazing, and tasted even better. The pork was tender, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. The chicken katsu curry was cooked perfectly, with a crispy coating and a rich, comforting curry that paired beautifully with the rice. The honey garlic chicken was another standout—sweet, savory, and balanced without being overpowering. What really impressed me was the consistency across every dish we ordered. Each item was just as enjoyable as the last, which says a lot about the quality and pride behind the food. Nothing felt rushed or generic, and every bite felt intentional. It’s rare to find a place that gets it right across the board, but this one truly does. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m craving Hawaiian food, and I’m already looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

Food was good and every dish had good flavor. The portions are a good size also. All the dishes we tried were good but you have to get the mini malasada for dessert. They were delicious. A tad bit pricey but we will still go back as the food is good. Recommend that you go try it out for sure.
