Love it! My Dad and I stopped in for lunch after his visit to the Union Hospital Complex. I was honestly just expecting a bakery but this is a full diner with made to order sandwiches, salads, and deserts. The food is delicious! The atmosphere has an old world diner feel with several tables and booths. Perfect for groups large and small. This was a pleasantly clean, friendly establishment with a great menu selection. I definitely recommend the blueberry applesauce! This place is an awesome bonus for the Terra Haute area!
Service was friendly. Pies were okay. I ordered their signature pie, I was told this was the pie all the employees love. It was just okay. It had good cinnamon flavor and was sweet, but just tasted like it wasn't made with love. It tasted mass produced. I was hoping for something a little more from them since this was their namesake menu item. Most of the tables were dirty and sticky. We wanted to go back, but after seeing the state of the dining room choose not to return.
Each time I go my food is fresh and they greet you politely ! The Ahold Chicken wrap 10/10 rate alone. Very good! Loved the cooked pineapple, the bbq! Will definitely order again!
Great place. Very good turkey Reuben. I'm a potato salad snob of sorts and this was excellent! More creamy mayo than mustard. The Reuben had slaw on it which was amazing. Wife had the GT chicken salad croissant with a side of potato chips. She loved it. We both bought a pie. Cherry Crumb fit her and Chocolate Peanut butter for me. Haven't gotten you those yet. But my wife says if it's half as good as the stores in Michigan, It'll be amazing. They had other great looking items like chocolate chip cookies, Iced cinnamon rolls, caramel cinnamon rolls, muffins and more. Pies were $19.99 each! Even the small size were the same price!? We didn't understand and we didn't ask. Total meal was $62 with the pies Great treat, great food. Stop in for sure
Service was fast and friendly. The food was tasty and fresh. The pie was fresh and tasted good but they didn’t offer to heat it up. Prices are a little steep but it’s a nice little spot. The coffee was the most notable thing here. It was absolutely delicious and you can’t beat the price they charge for a cup of gourmet coffee. The interior needs a revamp for sure
It was my first time buying something from here. All I wanted was a dessert; I ordered the "Goody Bar." It looked like what I used to make homemade (magic cookie bars), but it didn't taste like them. It wasn't soft, I don't think it was fresh.
We were passing thru and I did a double take passing this restaurant. I did a u-turn pulling our trailer (we are full time RV'rs) and found parking in their ample parking lot. Walked through the door and instantly started salivating. Huge display of fresh pies and baked goods. They sell regular full size pies as well as small ones which were perfect for us since we have a small refrigerator. We bought their limited time flavor of Caramel Apple Bacon Pie. Pie was amazing and it was still warm from the oven. They have a large variety of pies and baked goods, it's so hard to make a decision. They also have a variety of flavored coffees. I wish we weren't just passing through as I would have loved to try their breakfast and lunch offerings. As we dug into some of our pie, we watched as people passed us with their purchases and I was envy of everything I saw. The baked potatoes are massive with a large choice of toppings and the pot pies looked great. Well, everything looked great. I'll have to settle for my left over pie and a big cookie. Had I known about this place, I would have skipped breakfast or timed our travels around lunch here.
