The Hot Dog Stop

My experience at The Hot Dog Shop was pleasant and overall a nice place to have lunch by yourself or with friends, plenty of tables with umbrellas over them for shade. They had a full chicago and New York style menu with a choice of veinna or sabrett or Nathan's Hot dogs . They also have the chicago beef sandwich which is a plus because most other hot dog stands won't have that. The curly French fries were hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt, I also tried the jumbo stuffed tater tots stuffed with bacon and cheese they were hot and crispy and tated amazing I suggest ordering some to compliment the rest of your order. The 2 hot dogs I had were veinna chicago and they did not disappoint at all they came with a generous portion of veggies on top and the hot dogs had just the right snap to them. I will definitely be back and will probably wash my car at the self serve there and then eat which makes it a perfect location. I recommend the hot dog shop as a good place with good food and pleasant experience to everyone. I will upload some pictures for everyone from my visit today wendsday May 14th . Great food. Eric was super friendly and helpful. Had the Chicago dog as I am from Chicago. Tasted just like back home. I will be a regular customer going forward!

The hot dogs were substandard. Not served properly. Tough skin and hard to chew. That was no Chicago Dog I ever had. Had to wait for it too. Coney Island Hot Hogs is much better, and I suggest you go there. If in Tamp/St. Sete, then there is Mel's. I will not be going back.

If you love Chicago Hotdogs 🌭, then come here. Pretzel 🥨 and cheese 🧀 is a bonus.
