My first time here and OMG, it’s such a vibe! One of the best Steaks in Orange County. The Duck Fried Fries are amazing and EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious. Customer Service was prompt, warm, welcoming and professional. The Bartender laughed with the customers and provided a family oriented atmosphere. I don’t know that waitress name but not only was she friendly but had a photographic memory of the menu. I had the Bacon wrapped meatloaf topped with mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts! Simply delicious and very flavorful. But I could not keep my fork out of my dates plate. He ordered the sirloin steak and oh boy! Juicy, well seasoned, perfectly cooked - could NOT describe it. My compliments to the chef!!! I ordered Hennessy and Baileys and let me just say the serving portion did not disappoint! I told the waitress tonight that I’ll be coming back even if it’s by myself. The decor gives Library Adult version! With TV screens in every direction. The music was up to date and jammin! Parking is great as the lot is right outside the door. But to top it all off they serve a Filipino Egg roll called Lumpia. The Eggroll itself is so delicious no dipping sauce is needed. But, the dipping sauce is amazing. FYI - they specialize in making their own sauces. Highly recommended! 10/10

The Hearts of Palm tacos are wonderful. I wanted to try something new. Chapter One did not disappoint me. Their French fries are fried in Duck fat. That gave the fries their own delicious taste. Then sprinkled with salt and pepper.

It's absolutely an awesome place to eat!!! Our server was the absolute best!!! And the food was great!!!!! I almost divorced my wife to marry the chef!! The atmosphere and the vibe were pretty mellow!! I will definitely be a return customer!! I reccomend the Steak Frites with Duck fat fries!!

The place was half empty on a holiday weekend so service was quick and efficient. There was a large screen near us and we got to follow a tennis match. I love my steak and feta salad. The fish and chips, steak sandwich and poke that the rest of my family ordered were pretty good as well. However, all of us developed gastrointestinal problems later and the common denominator was the French fries.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life. We made a confirmed reservation at 8:30 for 6. Got there and they seemed surprised that we had one seeing that the place was packed for the Dodgers game. Got seated in a tiny corner of the restaurant where we didn’t really fit and was neglected by the first server. She gave us attitude about seeing if we could move across the way after we asked nicely. Once we finally got someone else to help us (thank goodness for her), the small plates we received were filthy. Sauce and food stains still stuck on them we had to send it back. I should report them to the health department. The food finally came and we didn’t get any silverware. Another wait for that before eating. The Caesar salad was awful. The croutons were soggy, the lettuce was wilted and the steak salad I ordered medium rare came out rare almost blue and it was cold I had to send it back. This place is disgusting in terms of service, food, and atmosphere. If you want a great experience at a restaurant go somewhere else. I’m shocked this place has any business at all.

I am new to Santa Ana, and the building I moved into had a welcome package to visit Chapter One and other local businesses that are collaborating to support and keep the community strong. I went in with my daughter and he boyfriend for the champagne with brunch, but got so much more I was impressed with the food, the staff and the embodiment of the whole environment It was too good to be true so I had to go back a second time to see if consistency rang true, or if I visited on a good day, and was lucky with my "Crap Shoot", I have visited 5 times now within two months and not only is the food consistently supercalafriggendelicious!, the servic3 remains outstanding. You will be missing out if you don't go to Chapter One

Love the big windows. Nice corner spot. The food was quite scrumptious. Steak Mac n' Cheese was absolutely delicious. The Lobster Burger was also a menagerie of flavors in every bite. A fat juicy burger, probably big enough to feed two people. The Duck Fries are a must! You will not be disappointed. Oh and let's talk about their take on the Mexican dessert, the Sopapilla. Ermagurd it was to die for! Such a delicacy of a dessert. They have a nice sized bar, plenty of seating, a few big TVs with sports and dim lighting throughout the restaurant. Highly recommend a visit.
