Terrible customer service. I walked out, the places looked closed, barely any customers in the shop, and I was the only person in line. The barista spent several minutes moving coffee beans, seemingly not even making a drink for anyone, just moving beans from one container to another, so I just walked out. I wanted to support a local small business, but I can see why they were so empty when I visited. There are far better local coffee shops. Your time would be better spent going to them. Stay away from Cherry Bean!

Another visit, service was great this time. Dropped by again today, cashier was much better, glad to see the change. Top notch full flavored iced latte ☕, cashier was fairly speechless so room for improvement. Barista was fine, black and white iced cookie was good 🥠.

Thr Cherry Bean is a cool little spot on Main St, in oldtown Salinas. They display local artists' artwork on their walls, have a cozy reading corner, and plenty of seating. It is a fairly quiet café perfect for conversing with friends. The menu's got a wide selection of teas which are served chilled or hot. They offer lattes and coffees as well, some inspired by Mexican flavors and drinks common in town. The staff is so-so.

We come in about twice a week but today just was the last. Barista always rude and seems bothered when we ask for a dash of cinnamon on the house coffee we make on our on the side bar, he even asked us to move to another counter today when asking for it because we were "in his way" even though we were on the customer side and he was inside. Terrible customer service!

I always enjoy coming here. I think the atmosphere is great and the coffee is really good.

The Cherry Bean is a pinnacle of how a real coffee shop can survive against a Starbucks without sacrificing low price or quality. I’ve been coming here for 20+ years and it’s one of those places where it has its own nostalgia. The building comes alive with its authenticity and vibrant soul. Whether you want to try something new, or different than Starbucks, or have your first kiss and first love... yes true and I’m sure not just for myself. The store will greet you itself, and show you why it can beat Starbucks and deserves to be the areas best coffee house. Some pointers, bigger menu so the price can be less or more than what you’re used to. However, you can’t get a full sized homemade egg and sausage quiche at Starbucks. Lastly, the rewards are in itself as one the places that will charm you for life.
