Boba Mi

I recently visited Boba Mi and loved everything. The pho broth was nice rich and comforting but what really stood out were the Korean short ribs: they were amazing, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. If you’re looking for a solid Vietnamese meal with standout highlights, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I ordered the regular size House Pho. It was delicious, the broth was flavorful and it came with a side plate of fresh herbs and garnishes. There was a good portion of each of the three proteins in the dish. The service was quick and friendly!

Today, my husband and I finally tried Boba Mi, and let me tell you—we’re already planning our next visit. We’ve been to Vietnam, we know good Vietnamese food, and this place gets it right. First, let’s talk drinks—so many options, I almost needed a flowchart to decide. Then came the food. My husband had the noodle bowl with grilled beef and declared it the best Vietnamese food in Rochester (which is a bold statement, considering how much we eat). I went for the Pho Dac Biet (Special Combo), and wow—the broth was fresh, flavorful, and had that perfect oil shimmer that screams "you’re about to have a good time." The noodles? Cooked to perfection. Not a rice or noodle person? No problem! The Original Mi (Banh Mi) is here to save you. It’s the perfect gateway sandwich into the world of Vietnamese subs, and they have plenty of varieties to choose from. My stomach tapped out before I could try them all, but trust me, I’m coming back. And the chicken wings? Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and served with a sweet sauce so good it should be classified information. Oh, and I almost forgot—desserts! I saw so many people ordering them, and I was way too full to even attempt it. But the smell alone was enough to make me regret my life choices. Just another reason to go back! Do yourself a favor and check out their dessert menu—you might need to strategize your meal to save room. If you love Vietnamese food, go to Boba Mi. If you think you don’t, go anyway—you’re probably wrong. And save room for dessert!

The Brisket Pho was amazing. The soup had so much flavor and it was simple yet awesome. My girlfriend had Banh Mi original and it was really good and tasty. The bread was toasted perfectly and the balance of flavor was right on the spot. We had a really great time I would recommend the House special ( lychee berry crush) as a drink as it was really good.

Absolutely THE BEST Vietnamese restaurant in Rochester!! When our other go-to restaurant closed, our family was heartbroken. Boba Mi popped up not so longer afterwards and has captured that essense of welcoming, Vietnamese comfort food. The bánh mì, pho, summer rolls, and vermicelli salads are made with super fresh ingredients and delicious recipes that I can't help but continue coming back. If you are a coffee lover like me, you have to grab their Vietnamese coffee made with sweeten condensed milk. It's nothing like other coffees you've had before! Definitely a must-try for coffee snobs 😉 Also, the owner, Kim, is so sweet and kind. It's nice to have a good Vietnamese place to go to again.
