This place was good. Last time I went here, I had of the rudest waiters I’ve ever seen. He was terribly impatient and tried to get cocky. And then when the food finally came after 30 minutes, it was very bland. I ordered two BBQ plates and both had no flavor; just tasted charred. One of the other waiters was kind and knew that the food was not good, so she tried suggesting another entree after I paid. Hey 👋 was a nice time for you to come over and do we have to do a little while ago I don’t have a lot of time to do it just let me. Hey hey there I was gonna I got a little while ago and then it would definitely not work for me to pick you guys anything I want to go get to your your house to get the stuff out from there so you can do something.
Modest looking exterior leads you into a warm family owned restaurant with authentic Korean flavors. Prices are in line with other Korean places in the Bay Area and acceptable given the generous portion sizes and ban chan (kim chi etc apps) selection. Friendly staff and solid food make this place the eight if us would visit again.
Enjoyed the spicy tofu soup with pork and yummy banchan refilled it once, they have unlimited refills on that and 🌶 dishes you need try if you like spicy food. Lunch special on the menu is the best thing to go for and there are a lot other options for fried rice too.
Got a half order of Galbi to go along with tofu soup with pork and kids chicken teriyaki bento. There was ONLY bones hidden underneath a few pieces of galbi meat. I couldn’t believe what I saw! I set all the bones they hid underneath to one side and took a photo! The galbi meat was also dry and did not taste fresh. Pork was old and dry in the soup and the tofu had gone bad and tasted sour. I ended up spitting it out and threw it away. Chicken teriyaki tasted like lighter fluid. Beware!!! Please see my photos!
Excellent banchan. I had their spicy seafood tofu stew lunch special which included a large shrimp, but the squid was probably frozen. Next time, I'll ask them to put the egg last so it's not overcooked. On my list is their Kalbi lunch special.
Coming from SoCal, I was skeptical that there would be any good Korean food in Pleasanton. But believe me when I say that this was the best hotstone bimbimbap I've ever had. Also loved the ambience in here. Felt like a Korean mom had cooked a delicious meal for me. Will definitely be back again.
A few people eating inside. The appetizers are delicious, but the Kimchi soup is just an average standard.
