Pete's Garage Bar

It's Pete's Garage, don't go in there expecting sweet services that remind you of a trip to Figi. They are hardened by the cold lifestyle Oshkosh has to offer. It's the kind of place that pulls no punches but will call you stupid if the conversation deems it necessary. The grill is seasoned with years of flavors, the taps are always ready to fill your glass and if your lucky, popcorn might be in stock for a nice snack in-between good conversation and watching something on the screens. I personally enjoyed the battered 🍄 mushrooms

There's a reason Pete's won dive bar of the year...it's because it's a great dive bar! When you go to Pete's, you sit down, read the menu, which is taped to your table, figure out what you want, and then order it! You're an adult, and they expect you to be able to read a menu and place an order. If you can do this, you'll have a great meal and drinks at Pete's, if you can't, you might have some choice words coming your way. While ready to dish out some tough love, Pete and the staff are attentive, and quick to make your order and fill your drink. Burgers are delicious and made right in front of you, drinks and happy hour deals are some of the best I've seen. Will definitely be back to Pete's, it's a great spot.

Pete's Garage Bar is always at the top of the list of the "best burgers in Oshkosh, so today we tried it, and they truly are. They are juicy, tasty, and one burger is the size of a double at Culver's. I had grilled onions and mushrooms on mine, which were really good. Even the Cokes were better than elsewhere. The bartenders/cooks were friendly, even though they were really busy. They have a lot of drink options, which I will try next time. This place reminds me of the bar and grills on the lakes in the Wisconsin Northwoods. This is definitely going to become our place to go.

We visited Petes for the first time on a Friday at 11am. They became very busy, very quickly. Great (and fun) service, the food was great, the beer was cold, and we enjoyed the unique music playlist. Make sure you bring a sense of humor, they have "rules" that should be followed. We are not from the area, but are looking forward to the next opportunity to visit this place.

We have rolled into Pete’s Garage on a few occasions. It’s off the beaten path for the average person traveling through Oshkosh. But worth the diversion. Pete’s is a typical WI bar atmosphere . Tight seating and a dark Interior. But it makes up for all that in great food and an interesting staff. Pete’s is a "Dick’s Last Resort" type bar - where rudeness is on display as part of the atmosphere. Ask them if they got something and they’ll tell you "they got a menu. Read it." Don’t go into Pete’s being sensitive to brass talk or some slightly rude behavior. If you are a snowflake, leave now. You won’t like the outcome. But if you enjoy great burgers and big portions of cheese curds you will love Pete’s

Where to start???? Well, the appetizers are delicious and plentiful without a doubt!!! Huge portions of anything you order!! The prime rib sandwich is to die for!!! Tender and seasoned perfectly!!!! Big slab of meat with plenty of flavor. Been there numerous times and have NEVER had a bad meal. The atmosphere is friendly, when you walk in you are in a bar with about a dozen tables give or take. Look over the menu and go up to the bar and place your order. You will NOT regret walking into this hidden gem!!!

This place hands down has the best burger you'll ever have and the atmosphere is amazing. You order your own food. Read the rules on the table before you go up to the bar... And just take in everything. The service was excellent. The bartenders were amazing. I would definitely come back. I have been back several times. I just wanted to put my two cents in. Not that it makes any difference to anybody else, but definitely like to voice my opinion and I know others like to see it as well so they can judge where they would like to go, eat and get themselves a good burger:)... DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK💯
