I have ordered and come to this place many times and they always make me wait forever to get my food to-go. Aside from that the amount that you pay for the food here is not worth it for what you get. It’s more of like a self service thing where you have to fight a spot for your table. Half the time people don’t want to get up, they are done eating and just sit there and talk no care for other people that they must be waiting for a table. The people really need to be more mindful of the fact that the space is cramped and tables are limited so you should get up after your done eating. Along with this the staff there don’t even clean the tables for you after the people before you leave so you also have to remove their dirty plates yourself and clean the table. For what you pay they also don’t even bothering filling up the drink all the way to the top. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend going to Sono Bakery if you are in a rush because you will have to wait and if you are okay with the self service experience. I will however end up back here again because my family does like to go here for a weekend breakfast here and there but they really should do something about their poor service.

I’ve been to many places to eat in Norwalk and this place I would not recommend. It’s overpriced but you can get over that if the service is good. Their staff working at the counter is not friendly. The girl with the glasses that makes the drinks needs to find a different job. We ordered large drinks and they were not even 2/3 full to the top. I’ve waited a while to see if things were good better after visiting a few times but it has not. There are better options to eat with much better service, especially when you are dishing out for the prices they are charging. Hopefully the owner of this establishment reads this review and makes it a better place for his/her customers. You can do it better ! Talk to your staff !!

I cannot remember a time that I didn't have a great meal, pastry, sandwich or just a cup of amazing coffee. I believe that the lack of friendly customer service is just a function of the times that we live in as opposed to a lack of training on the part of the owner / management. If you're looking for a great place to cater your next luncheon or business meeting or just come in for an amazing egg sandwich or a piece of cake which are all to die for, SoNo bakery will have you licking your fingers even if their customer service is a bit lacking.

Good food, drinks were ok(hot chocolate was too sweet) and minimal seating. More suitable for takeout or if you’re dining in party of 2. There were 2 tables for four and 5 tables for two (along a narrow walkway). So prepare to wait for seating. They do have high chair for kids. Egg in sono egg sandwich was nice and fluffy. Sausage was a tad too salty. They serve the food but not the drinks if you’re dining in. They are not a full table service cafe so if you’re dining with a kid, it might be a little troublesome. Service was mediocre.

I’d like to give a huge tribute to Sono Baking Company in Norwalk, Connecticut, for their exceptional service and delectable treats. Ordering cookies from them was a seamless experience, and their expert guidance helped us choose the perfect ones for a funeral. Their thoughtful consideration of our needs, including separating the cookies into nut-free and nut-containing containers, was truly impressive. The cookies were absolutely divine, and everyone marveled at their deliciousness. Thank you again for your outstanding service. If I could, I would give you a 10-star rating, you truly deserve it!

Based on my recent visit, I reduced the number of stars to 3 unfortunately. The food quality has been degraded and service was not satisfactory. Buritto sandwich has been one of my favorites until today. Something has changed in the recipe that made it a bit watery and less tasty. Same to the omlettes. Regarding the service, stuff french toast was one of the items we ordered and we received the regular one instead served by the same lady who took our order. I told her that order was incorrect and her response instead of apologizing was "no that is what you ordered and the other was is more expensive". Really? It the response you are giving to your customer? Instead of apologizing and trying to do something to fix the mistake? She eventually changed our order but it will certainly remained in our memory.

This place is a social experiment: How much are you willing to cough up ($) for food while tolerating poor service? I spent $25 on a medium matcha/milk, and a breakfast burrito (with no meat). When I got the matcha, it had WAY too much powder and wasn't properly mixed at all. After "interrupting" an employee conversation, I politely asked for more milk, to which the employee turned to another and said "I guess our Matcha isn't for everyone". You don't know how to make matcha. It's POWDER, you CONTROL how it tastes each time. After we waited about 20 mins (in an empty restaurant) for our breakfast "burrito" ($14.50), it came as a tiny, sad little roll. I assumed for the price and lack of meat, you'd be getting a comparable serving; This is borderline a scam. Your restaurant is an absolute joke. I will not be coming back.
