The Blackdog Cafe

Came to Virginia Beach for a couple of days and ended up at Black Dog Cafe both days!! I can honestly say it’s some of the best cafe food I’ve ever had. From the outside, it might look like a spot just for workers, but once you go in, it’s a really enjoyable experience. Everything is fresh and made to order, which I genuinely appreciate. The service was amazing too—one of the staff I interacted with even bonded with me over Henna while helping me make my sandwich, which made the visit extra special. The food was delicious, with big portions and refreshing lemonade, and the cake was incredible (specifically the red velvet cake). The space is small but cozy and can fit quite a few people. Overall, had a vintage feel with the arcades and books and I would definitely come back next time I’m in Virginia Beach !!

During lunch, we ordered a burger and fries with lemonade to drink. Also, the openface turkey sandwich and collards with sweet tea. There is plenty of food and good flavor. Lemonade and sweet tea were very tasty. Staff is very friendly, and food comes out quick. Interesting interior as this place has a large variety of random signs, pictures, and other unique things to look at. I would visit again just to taste some of the other food.

My boyfriend and I came here while we were on vacation in Virginia and it is a great hidden gem of a cafe/restaurant, we had noticed it on a ride to a family members house near by and decided to stop by a few days later because we had already been to a White Dog Cafe restaurant in the Philly area so it was only right we came here too. The food was phenomenal, my boyfriend got the shrimp po boy, and I got the jerk chicken rice bowl and we got a side of Mac and Cheese too. The service was great, the Cafe has great welcoming feel too it which was great. We will definitely come back again in the future. Highly recommend!! They also have Black Dog Merch for sale too!

Great little restaurant nestled in a business park. Don't let it fool you, it's not your typical business cafeteria food. Don't expect a rush on your meal, it takes time but it arrived hot and fresh made to order!! Today I tried the All American burger and fries seasoned to perfection. Bun was a little over toasted but still good. Outside of that, the food was amazing. Last time there i tried the Cuban and it did not disappoint. Stop in for yourself and grab something to eat and make sure you try the cookies... they will not disappoint.

This cafe is AMAZING! They’re super polite and helpful especially if you never been there before. They have a good food selection. And their prices aren’t too bad especially for the quality and quantity of food you get!

Blackdog Cafe is amazing and that's an understatement. The portion size food and quality is superb every time I go there, and I got at minimum three times a week. Ms. Teresa and Ms. Ashley and the crew make it a point to acknowledge and know the customers. When I call, they already know it's me. Whether you work/live close/far to this place, I highly recommend! I take my coworkers here from out of town when we need to eat something great and short on time. Anyone who posts 1-2 stars must have had a bad day at life, jk. Overall, great place and one of a kind food spot!

Great little hidden deli and grill. I got a blt with avocado! Stacked high with bacon and the avocado was creamy and delicious! Price point is $10 which I would say you get great food and an amazing price point! I will be back often! 😊
