⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ To be completely honest, I only come here once a year—when I bring my teaching staff downtown for breakfast. But Honkers LeBron Café has become such a valued tradition for us that when I recently tried to suggest another option… my staff emphatically said NO 😂. This little hidden gem in downtown Nampa offers exactly what you want in a breakfast spot: a great variety of menu items, homemade comfort food, generous portions, and excellent value. On top of that, the staff is always friendly, welcoming, and provides great service. Thank you for giving us a place we look forward to year after year. Traditions like this matter, and you’ve nailed it.
Been here a few times and the food here is always good. Coffee is always fresh and strong. Staff is friendly, nice and very professional. The wait for breakfast is a bit but that's only because it's always busy.
Tried this for the first time. It's mainly a breakfast place, but the do have some lunch and dinner options. My oldest daughter and her friend ordered the Big Breakfast - 6 French toast, 1 or 2 (i don't recall)sausage pattie, 2 eggs, and hashbrowns. My youngest got the Mini Breakfast - hotcakes, 2 eggs, 4 straps of bacon. I myself wnlanted lunch so I tried the Prime Rib French Dip with Fries. All in all the food was great. The waitress was wonderful, always checked on us throughout the course of being there. Put it on the list of places to try if you haven't already! Got some pictures of the food after we dug in.
Nice inside, warm and clean. Fast service, staff is organized and efficient. Food was good, not amazing but a place you can trust to enjoy. I will come back mainly because it’s a nice place with no wait.
First time coming in today 1/21/26 and couldn't have been more satisfied.. the service the food/portions were fantastic. What a gem the atmosphere was nice and so was the choice of background music. We will definitely be back!!
Man oh man. I really wanted to like this place. The servers are wonderful and the staff is great. That being said, the food isn't worth the price. You can tell the hash browns we're rehydrated. Glasses tasted like soap, no seasonings, even the butter tasted like a stale fridge... Very disappointing. The cherry on top is it took over 30 minutes just to pay our check. I really hope things take a turn for the better when it comes to the food quality.
4 Stars – Busy spot with solid service, mixed bag on the food Honkers Café was poppin’ for a Thursday morning—nearly every seat was full, which is always a good sign. The host and server were both kind and attentive, even with the crowd. Service was quick, which I appreciated. The menu, though… a little confusing. Maybe it's just me, but commas and the word "OR" carry very different meanings and had me second-guessing what I was actually ordering. I got the biscuits and gravy combo: biscuits were on the dry side, and the gravy needed some extra love (S&P and a hit of Cholula helped). Eggs over medium? Nailed it. Bacon? Four crispy slices of joy. French toast… something tasted a little off, couldn’t place it, but I still powered through. The hashbrowns were the weakest link—undercooked and forgettable. I didn’t ask for ‘em crispy, so that’s on me… but still, maybe toss ‘em on the grill for more than a warm-up? All in all, the service and main breakfast staples carried the experience. I might be being generous with 4 stars, but the vibe and staff made up for the misses. Would go again, just might order differently next time.
