TL; DR: Don't bother unless you want to spend almost two hours at a very busy place not eating unimpressive food. -- I randomly found this place with a pop-up event from Facebook. It said they were opening for one day at 3 pm, and I got there at about 3:10 and it was already packed with one couple waiting. We waited nearly an hour to be seated, and they said they needed to stagger the kitchen. After we were finally seated, it took probably about 10 or 15 minutes to order food. We did not have food on our table until just after 4:45. So, it was at least an hour and a half between when we arrived and when we started eating. The "award-winning" mac and cheese, which we got with green Chile brisket, was served cold. We also got the meat loaf with veggies and the green Chile soup. If the food had been worth the wait, it would have been fine. There's no excuse for serving cold food (that's not supposed to be cold). You can't blame servers for food taking such a long time, and it seemed like they needed more people working there. It just really didn't live up to the hype, and the overall experience was, at best, unimpressive. They had so many rave reviews, and I was so excited to have this Tucked Away experience, and ultimately, I was just as disappointed.

We’re almost regulars here now. Been coming for over a year now and it seems to just get better with each visit. 👍 I’ve managed to get through the entire selection of entrees and there is absolutely nothing bad on this menu. Had the Veggie Fried Rice tonight and my wife had gnocchi with brisket. Both dishes exceeded expectations. If you ever find yourself in East Mesa and want to treat your tastebuds and enjoy GREAT service, eclectic atmosphere and fabulous food, you need to find the Tucked Away Cafe. PS, the Mac n cheese with brisket is the bomb!

Was not sure what to expect at Tucked away kitchen. We showed up at 8pm and the joint was packed. I was pleasantly surprised when the food was top notch. Fresh tuna and the shrimp po' boy was the best sandwich outside of Louisiana. The place had a great vibe, safe to say we will be back and we will be bringing our friends.

What a gem! We all ordered something different and everyone's food was outstanding. I had the eggs Benedict and was some of the best I've had. Nice little outdoor patio, will be back for sure.

Fantastic place, the service was excellent and the food is better. Great fusion Asian, New Mexico, you name it, I absolutely loved the shrimp and grits with hatch green chili. When in town I will definitely be here.

Great little place, tucked away! We sat at the bar. There is also an outside patio. We didn't eat a meal but had great drinks with a tray of fries. Yes, a tray of delicious fresh cut fries! I noticed the chef checked on customers to see how the meal was. That was cool and you can tell he cared. Also, you can interact with the kitchen because of the kitchen location/setup. Customer service was awesome. It's a was a great find.
