Came in for lunch and ordered the General Tso’s chicken with rice and a side salad, plus a Super Dragon Roll. Had sweet tea with the meal and grabbed a taro milk bubble tea to go. First off, presentation was solid. The Dragon Roll came out neatly lined up on a long plate, clean and colorful, and looked like something you actually want to eat right away. The General Tso’s chicken was plated simply but nicely — good portion of chicken, sauce coating everything evenly, rice on the side without being drowned. Nothing fancy, but clean and appetizing, which is exactly what I want at lunch. The General Tso’s chicken was cooked great. Chicken was tender, sauce had good flavor, and it wasn’t overly spicy like a lot of takeout versions. You could actually enjoy the dish without sweating through your shirt. Rice was cooked right and paired well. The Super Dragon Roll was made perfectly. Fresh, well-balanced, and clearly put together with care. This was easily the standout of the meal. The sweet tea wasn’t super strong, which worked fine with the food. The only real negative was the ginger dressing on the salad. It was surprisingly hot for a ginger dressing. When I think ginger dressing, I expect something sweet and refreshing that makes you want more salad. This one missed that mark, and I didn’t finish it. Prices are decent for a sushi spot ($$), especially considering the quality. Service and staff were very considerate and attentive, checking in without being overbearing. Overall, based on this meal, the food was very good, presentation was clean and well done, and I’d definitely come back to try more items. Final rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
We had a good time at Aji and everyone was pleased with their selection. Our party had wonderful sushi, great tofu, tasty pad Thai and a delicious bento box.
We visited in a huge hurry and they were excellent about getting us served and taken care of. The ramen was flavorful and not too spicy. The shrimp udon was excellent! I had an amazing tuna roll that wasn't quite amazing, but it was good. We sat upstairs and enjoyed watching the bustling servers below. The only drawback was the weird trek to the shared bathroom, which you entered by using a keypad code, outside the back of the restaurant. It wouldn't deter me from visiting again, though!
I went with two friends to place an order to go as we had been moving all day and wanted to have a nice dinner to finish the day with. Between the three of us, we spent over 100 dollars and left a nice tip to boot. The sushi rolls were good and unfortunately were the only decent part of the meal. General Tso's tofu was ordered and was cooked to the point of not being chewable. The other two entrees of green curry and sesame chicken were equally disappointing. This was my first experience with this restaurant and will be my last as 140.00 is a lot to spend with such disappointing results.
The ramen here is great every time. I live about 4 hours away from here but, when I head towards Virginia I make sure to stop by. The lychee sake they offer compliments the Hiroshi ramen insanely well. If you’re in the area or passing around, I’d strongly suggest stopping here for a great experience.
The ramen was pretty soggy and the pork wasn’t cooked very tenderly. The sushi was alright, but nothing crazy. The atmosphere and service was good, especially since I went on a Saturday night, and they were packed. Overall, the place is okay, but I would recommend other places instead.
My girlfriend’s favorite restaurant. High quality ingredients.
