Time Out Cafe

I walk by here almost every day and always meant to drop in. I'm so glad we did, the folks who work here are super friendly and helpful, we ordered multiple pastelitos, beef, cheese, ham, pork and chicken, all of them tasted great but I really liked the chicken, beef and pork. We also had the Dominican Chimi which was really good. They have a pretty large ala cart stil service with some very tasty looking stuff that we will definitely come back and try, another customer recommended the roasted chicken. We will be coming back for sure.

Great food and friendly service 🙂 We had a chicken quesadilla, pork burrito, and mozzarella sticks (they're the super chunky kind!) and were both very pleased with the taste and quality. The portions were also generous and we'll each be getting a second meal out of it. The food was ready at the expected time and the woman there was very friendly. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area 🙂

Time Out Cafe in Lowell is holding the #1 trophy for Dominican food right now — no debate. The carne was tender, onions hit just right, and the rice was fluffy like a soft pillow from the campo. But that OREO tres leches? That’s not even fair. Sweetest surprise of the day was the owner and her daughter — kind, welcoming, and full of love. This place feels like home and tastes like it’s an abuela’s secret recipe. If you haven’t been… you’re late 😮‍💨💯

Great place to grab a wholesome meal. Large portions of food for a great price. Nice spot to get some clean food and feel great after. We are looking forward to going back and trying other options soon.

AMAZING portions for the price! As of April 2025, $15 will get you a LARGE plate heaped with rice and perfectly cooked meat. Sandwiches are equally worth the price, and their smoothies are fantastic.

Good food, friendly staff, reasonable pricing. I ordered the steak w onions special which was enough food for 2 people. Tostones were freshly cooked and delicious although I'm more used to plantains a little less ripe. The steak flavor was delicious but a bit dry probably because I arrived shortly before closing.

The lady that works they're always remembers my order she's very friendly, the food is filled with amazing flavors I would definitely recommend!
