Ordered the ube cake for my husband birthday. Tasted nice!! Especially love the ube paste insert, but the cream tastes a bit too greesy. But overall a great find for ube cake considering the price 40 dollars. Yet parking here is costly.
85°C Bakery Café at Westfield Century City is a must-stop every time I visit the mall! The pastries are always fresh, soft, and full of flavor, and the variety is incredible — from savory breads to sweet treats. Their sea salt coffee is a favorite of mine, perfectly balanced and unlike anything else. Service is quick and friendly, and everything is well-organized even when it’s busy. A perfect spot to grab a snack or a drink while shopping. Highly recommend!
The most delicious pastries!!! Came here around 2 pm on a Thursday. I called beforehand to see if they were open for Veterans Day (November 11) and they were--normal hours too! It was a little crowded when I arrived, ~5 people waiting for drinks and 4 people waiting in line to checkout. ~Pastry grabbing experience~ No trays/tongs to use but there was a sign you can ask the front counter for some but all staff members was clearly very busy? So I didn't ask... and ended up carrying ALL of these pastries in my hands while waiting in line pictured here (and more!)... I ended up spending $44 haha TT__TT Ever since the pandemic, pastries here have been individually packed/wrapped so you don't have to worry about others touching the foods and what not. ~Masks enforced~ As far as the mask mandate, they did enforce it because a lady in the store was not wearing one and a staff member politely asked her to. ~Drinks~ I ordered a Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Mango Slush. Both of these drinks can only be ordered Large size. They are DELICIOUS! 5/5. I am so pleasantly surprised. ~OVERALL~ I haven't been here in a year and I am pleasantly surprised by how fast drinks were made! As fast as they can be made-- with only 1 cashier open and only 1 staff member making the drinks, and 6 customers in front of me when I was checking out. Drinks 5/5 Pastries 5/5 Only -1 star because: 1) I had to carry all of these pastries in my hands since I would've had to ask for a tray/tongs when no one besides the cashier was the front--like all staff members were clearly busy (I know this is my problem too but having trays available should be easily assessable!) 2) I ended up getting charged for 2 orders of egg tarts because I had too many pastries and the cashier double charged me for that since she was putting some pastries in a box while the others in a bag... it's okay, I was only charge $2 over so NOT a big deal Otherwise, no other complaints. I love 85 degrees! Highly recommend giving it a try! Will most definitely be coming back again!
Fresh bread nice atmosphere!😁 But DO NOT purchase strawberry banana smoothie.. it tastes like melted iced water. Can’t taste strawberry banana at all😒
Great pasteries and drinks, but terrible service. It gets extremely hot inside the small store and there will be a line out the door full of people and only one person checking out customers when there are many other employees in the store. I've had to ask for someone else to come up to the register when it was very obvious they needed another person with so many customers in the store. Many got tired of waiting and left.
On my trip to LA, I stopped by the mall. Stopped by this bakery and saw the pastries. Talked with one of the workers there, and she was telling me about how they make their process. Had the croissant with bits of chocolate and one of the breakfast pastries with a caramel macchiato. Both pastries were great. The croissant was flaky and buttery. The macchiato was freshing and not too strong. Also, saw the strawberry white chocolate cup. Indeed, something pleasant for the palate. Definitely have to stop by here is you get the chance.
The line was short but moved slowly, and the wait for drinks was long. The employees didn't greet or thank me. In fact, they were rude. They only had one register open. The hot beverages and the blended drinks were good. The bakery foods are good. The prices are fair.
