Downey Peking

Finding parking can be a challenge. The restaurant dining area is clean, it has an authentic feel. The service is good; the staff is friendly, the food tastes good, they have lots of options, the portions are large, and the price is fair.

I LOVE this Chinese restaurant. The food is fantastic. Top notch service. Great prices. Could they do a little better on atmosphere, maybe. I highly recommend this place. Hope to return soon.

Feel bad leaving a negative review for a restaurant but I'd feel even worse allowing people to think this restaurant has 4.4 star quality food. This is not good Chinese food (in my opinion). This is my second attempt at this place and I'm still trying to find the food the others are raving about. I think I actually prefer Panda Express over this place. The orange chicken flavor and texture is not good. The chow mein was drenched in sauce and the noodles were overcooked (plus the shrimp was hard and definitely not fresh) and I believe there was a failed attempt to batter the Mongolian beef (I don't know why anyone would want to do that). I am posting a couple of photos so you can judge for yourself. It's not the worst but definitely not the best.

I have always wanted to try this place but never had the chance until today. We felt like eating Chinese and noticed the reviews from here were pretty high so I thought I was missing out. Unfortunately I was highly disappointed. We ordered dinner to go. The best item out of the four that we ordered was probably the Chow Mein, but the noodles were over-cooked or soggy, the meat was chewy and had a weird texture. The meat from the broccoli and beef was even worst where in addition it felt jelly-like, smelly, and just not fresh, the broccoli was also over cooked, soggy, and drenched in sauce. The orange chicken had a very different recipe than from other restaurants which is fine; I liked the orange peels and other additional vegetables, but the texture of the chicken was soggy, and the chicken also did not taste fresh. We didn’t eat much of it and we felt like we wasted our money. We don’t think we’ll be going back any time soon.

Has anyone found a place exactly like downey peking? If so please comment me the location , I really miss Downey pecking food especially the fried shrimp in hot garlic sauce😋

A great food fast service same Chinese authentic taste

They're open for dine in again, or dine out as the case may be. The same courteous happy service and the delicious food at an affordable price. Eating under a tarp did not change the Peking dining experience we have come to expect and love throughout the years. Love this place! Seafood egg flower soup is a great way to start your meal. Everything we've ever had here is great.
