Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

I was really disappointed with my visit to this Rita’s location. The overall cleanliness of the store was concerning—counters looked sticky, the floor hadn’t been properly cleaned, and employees didn’t appear to be following basic sanitation practices consistently. I also noticed food being handled without clear attention to hygiene, which made me uncomfortable ordering. On top of that, management didn’t seem attentive or proactive when issues were visible, and the atmosphere felt unprofessional. This was not the level of cleanliness or care I expect from a food service establishment. I hope this location takes sanitation and customer experience more seriously moving forward, because Rita’s is usually better than this.

Rita’s Ice Cream in Deerfield Beach is my go-to spot, and it’s not just for the amazing treats! The Concrete Mudslide is my absolute favorite—rich, delicious, and always made perfectly and the same. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff. Mya and Erin, along with the other teenage girls who work there, are always so kind, positive, and welcoming. Most often you don’t find that in teens. Most places kids are on their phone talking to one another not paying attention to the customer but here every single one of them and I’ve met at least 6 are amazing. There isn’t a time I walk in without being greeted with a smile and genuine hospitality. The ice cream is fantastic, but it’s the warmth and friendliness of the staff that keeps me coming back. Highly recommend!

Last night, my family and a friend went to the Deerfield Beach Rita's. We were the last customers, and came in about five minutes before closing. The staff were so incredibly friendly and looked extremely enthusiastic to serve us, when the average employee at other places would probably be rushing to clock out. These people did a great job, and the ice and custard was also amazing, too. Nicole, Gisele, and Andre were our servers. They were the best!

So excited to have a Rita’s in our area! (My wife’s favorite place! She grew up in Philly.) Incredibly friendly staff, very clean— a perfect atmosphere for a treat! The water ice and gelati were fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!

Had a great visit to Rita’s! Mya was incredibly friendly and made the experience even better with her welcoming attitude. I was also thrilled to see they had Swedish Fish flavor—it’s my favorite! Definitely looking forward to coming back

The young lady was very polite. I also noticed a gentleman picking up litter outside the establishment. I believe he was the owner, he was very kind and polite as well, even thanked us for our business. I definitely recommend giving this place your business.

Wow. We were excited when we saw Rita’s opening up nearby but have not had the chance to try it until this evening. The ice and custard was all amazing and the staff was friendly and they definitely provided a great experience. Can’t wait to go back again.
