Fatima was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and welcoming, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and made some fantastic entree recommendations. I came with my parents and we ordered the short rib hash, mushroom French omelette, Belgian waffle, chicken sausage, and Biscoff lattes every single dish was flawless. The flavors were immaculate. The owner even stopped by our table to introduce herself, which made the experience feel extra special. She was just as kind and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back both with friends and for a full TikTok review!

I went here after a long time, and the first time since they switched ownership. The restaurant vibe it still the same (which I love) and the staff were very friendly. The food was great but didn’t have a phenomenal taste for the price point it’s at. I ordered the Makanek Sausage Hash and a hot matcha latte. The matcha latte was great and had the right ratio of milk to matcha (also wasn’t too sweet). The hash was delicious and the presentation was incredible but unfortunately, it was over spiced for my liking. I could taste freshly crushed black pepper in every bite and it over powered the other flavors of the dish. At a higher price point, I’d expect the dish to have a better combo of flavors. Definitely still recommend this spot but it’s not the same as I remember it.

This was the most random and unexpectedly delightful find! My daughter and I were looking to a spot to eat, this was the only place at the time that didn’t have a crazy wait! But I assure you it won’t be long before they do because everything was spectacular! Lots of variety for breakfast and brunch and everything is made with an international flare, so each bit was rich, decadent and packed with intriguing flavors. And it’s all Halal so I was able to have turkey breakfast meats, which is my love language! The atmosphere and decor is also very lovely; fun wallpaper designs, tile flooring and accents throughout and lots of natural light due to the picture windows all around that keep you cozy as you watch world on Michigan Ave pass by. Highly recommend!

Great Commoner in Dearborn is hands down one of my favorite spots. The food was amazing, fresh, and full of flavor — everything came out exactly how it should. What really made the experience stand out though was our server, Halaa. She was genuinely kind, attentive, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. She checked in at the perfect times, gave great recommendations, and had such a positive energy the whole visit. You can tell she actually cares about the guests. Between the food and the service, this place is a must — we’ll definitely be back.

Adam was the highlight of our visit to The Great Commoner. From the moment we sat down, he was on point. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely great energy. He knew the menu well and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I can see why his coworkers love him! He’s definitely the guy you want serving your table. Adam is the man! Now let’s talk food. The brunch was amazing. The croissant breakfast sandwich was fresh and flaky, the eggs cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were seasoned just right. Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better. We’ll definitely be back, and I’m recommending this place to everyone. Ask for Adam when you come in.

Amazing experience at The Great Commoner. Our server Mohamed was very nice and helpful. The food came out relatively fast and it tasted amazing. We got the Short Rib Hash and the Sausage Hash along with a Turmeric Ginger Tea. Make sure you reserve in advance as well
