Cozy place with cool atmosphere. We had a regular and a giant eggroll. Hubby had chicken Shezwan and I had Kung Pow Chicken. Very good We have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Price was very reasonable. I thought they left something off the receipt, they hadn’t. The prices are just that reasonable.

I had a fun and unexpected experience walking past Kungfood on my way to another restaurant but was drawn in by its clever and overtly Asian pop-culture vibe. The eclectic interior draws from all kinds of Asian cinema and cultural references, making it visually fascinating. The shotgun-style space is cozy, with the bar and dining area up front, the kitchen in the middle, and a quirky back section with restrooms, a small shop selling drinks and knickknacks, and another bar where you pick up takeout. I noticed four tables pushed together in the back and asked a server about them—they turned out to be Mahjong tables! I’m not sure if they host game nights or if the owners just love Mahjong, but it adds to the charm. The food was delicious. You can stick with American-style Chinese favorites or venture into more authentic dishes—many of which have a Taiwanese influence, as the owners are from Taiwan. Overall, it’s a wonderful little place I plan to revisit, especially to bring friends who haven’t experienced Taiwan or who would appreciate the colorful, graphic eye candy. I’d also love to see what it’s like here at night!

🔥 The food here was fantastic! Every bite was hot (temperature) and packed with a great spicy kick. I ordered the General Tso's chicken with a spice level 3, which was plenty hot enough. Also, the crab rangoons were on point! Highly recommend if you love the heat! Service was great!

We've been going to kungfood ever Dec when we visit Cincinnati. For the past couple of years the food has been fabulous. Tonight? Not so much. Idk why, but the garlic beef just had an odd taste to it. Our server didn't check on us once to ask why we didn't eat the dish, nor did she bring us our drinks. I know it gets busy, so we just paid and left without making a fuss.

Loved the original general tsos and the garlic chicken, both amazing! Also really liked the pork egg rolls and crab rangoons (not pictured, devoured). Super fun place, amazing food, will be back!

Absolutely unbelievable experience. We waited over TWO HOURS for our food, only to be given the wrong order. We ordered Sesame chicken and General Tso’s chicken and received two orders of General Tso’s instead. At that point, we were already past patience. The crab rangoon was barely filled, like an afterthought, and somehow still managed to be greasy and flavorless. The entrees themselves were completely tasteless. The fried rice was literally just steamed rice with soy sauce poured over it. If this is KungFood’s idea of Chinese cuisine, it’s embarrassing. When we asked how much longer the food would take, the hostess flat-out said: "I have no idea, because I don’t know where your ticket is in the kitchen," and refused to go check. That level of indifference is astounding. Meanwhile, they continued taking carry-out orders even though they were already two hours behind on existing orders. Zero concern for the customers already stuck waiting. This place is a complete joke—disorganized, unapologetic, and serving food that isn’t worth the wait even if it came out on time. Save yourself the frustration and eat literally anywhere else.

Sweet and sour chicken with lo mien. Lo mien 5 stars. Service 5 stars. I got carry out and had a 20 min. commute. So maybe I cant rate the chicken properly. Its more like a small chicken tenders, it has a great taste....but it has a lot of breading, and was chewy... maybe less chewy eating in the restaurant??? .....not sure but I don't think it would be a lot different The restaurant was packed at 2:00 PM on a Tuesday, so folks really really like this place.
