Simmer Coffee House

So glad there’s a new coffee shop in my neighborhood again. It’s great to have options that are not a franchise. Staff was so friendly and my salmon toast was yummy. Open-faced toasts are a little pricey but they have a rewards program that helps decrease cost. Updated 1/2/26 - got to visit Simmer again today and was pleasantly surprised to see the food menu option has been updated to include a more affordable build your own toast option. Solomon, the owner also stopped by our table to chat and it was great to hear the story behind the gnome theme. I think it great to see an owner incorporate feedback when possible to make their business better. Highly recommend you try out Simmer and don’t forget to download the app. They have an amazing rewards program.

Service, food, and ambiance were all 10/10. Definitely will come back! Business picked up later in the morning/early afternoon. The hummus toast was fantastic, and the brioche cinnamon roll was sweet. The coffee was quality as well!

I’ve been to Simmer a handful of times now, and I keep coming back. The baristas are so helpful, friendly, and talented! The food is pricey, but the exceptional service and personal touches are worth it. Try the cinnamon latte!

This cafe is cute, parking was easy and workers were nice. The owner came and chatted with us and was so educated on matcha and was so kind and even offered us to try their new flavor coming out this month and it was SOOOO good. I will be coming back!

West Cary has been missing a coffee shop like this. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and sense of belonging here. Simmer has an awesome environment with an even better staff, and that’s what really makes this place shine. The drinks are awesome - we tried the Mocha Cinnamon Cold Brew (not too sweet, not too bitter, just right), the Strawberry Matcha (perfectly balanced, with local strawberry puree), Chocolate Cooler (think elevated chocolate milk with crispies on top. Caffeine free), and the Irish Creme Latte (probably the most underrated drink on the menu). The toasts are good, and you could probably share those with whoever you’re with. The pastries are also great, they partner with the drinks well! The staff is where this place shines. The drinks and food are awesome, but if you’re looking for a real coffee house that cares about that they’re putting out there, this is it. They care about you as a customer and that matters more than the quality of the product sometimes. In this case, the quality of the product matches the customer service and that makes this an incredible place to get your coffee. So whether or not you’re working from here, just stopping by with your friends, or ordering carry out, this is THE place for you. You don’t need to go anywhere else. Simmer is so good!! The workers are always super friendly and make me feel right at home. I even drive from Mebane just to come here because it’s that worth it. I try different food and coffee every time, and they always blow me away!! It just keeps getting better and better. Best coffee in NC!!!!

Simmer has become my favorite place to hang out to do work. Place has a chill, clean, and comfortable environment with a convenient location that boasts plenty of parking. Service is quick and very friendly. Portable chargers are available for centrally located tables that don't have outlets. Everything I've had from the coffee and scones have been great. Pastries are fresh from La Farm. I particularly love the green tea when I've hit my limit of coffee for the day.
